chapter sixteen

Luke pov

So after the day I asked her to come have lunch with me and she declined; I became more certain that I wanted to chase after her even more and I only knew her name and nothing more about her, I always comes to the cafeteria if I could see her after that but I never did or rather never ran into her so I thought of how to see her which made me recall that she was a freshman this year and would surely attend the welcome party, so I decided to arrive early to gain an higher chance of seeing her.

Arriving there it was a couple of minutes pass seven; well I drove there with my car and I got off the car and stood for a while and observed the surrounding in search for nothing in particular and I saw a girl who wore a red dress and stood at a spot for a while, from her posture she had her back at me so I couldn't see her face clearly while I watched her for couple of minutes and I decided to approach her, so I started walking towards her direction even if I wasn't sure who she was but I wanted to see her up close.

Approaching her from behind slowly not to startled her; she turned towards me and she looked at me in surprise while I was also surprised to see her who was non other than Harper, she waved at me with a smile on her face and I must say she was very pretty and looked much older than before and also very sexy tonight, she approached me and stood next to me while staring at the space and she asked if I had a date and I said no but I do now if she would accompany me that is and she smiled at me, she said yes to being my date and I gave her my arms while she placed hers in mine and we walked into the building were the party was being held.

I held her arms firmly which made her look at me and I smiled at her while staring ahead to face the crowd of people present; we walked in amidst the crowd of people present and they only stared at us with our arms intertwined with each other while I led her into the bar stand were we would be getting a drink, and she saw a friend of her's which made her leave my side for awhile and I walked towards the both of them when I was done talking with a friend.

She introduced me to her friend who was her roommate and I asked her if I could borrow her for the night which made her smile and nodded her head, while waving goodbye at us and she headed towards her boyfriend who she came with and I pulled Harper into my arms while holding her waist and we went towards a seat to sit down and talk more about our selves, we got settled in our seat and I ordered for a drink which was brought over and she shook her head that she can't have alcohol and I stared at her strangely and she said she wasn't an adult yet; which made me ask her if she could taste it then and she agreed to it and I introduced her to a sequence of drinks I've had.

She was very hellbent on not drinking even if she did try them and I smiled at her act; soon we began talking with each other and I found out a lot of things about her which made me more interested in her, she was pretty smart with good point of view regarding certain issues which made me only smile and watched her talk all through our conversation, I kept listening to her words while being lost in her eyes which I found to be very pretty after she finished I pulled her up for a dance.
