Sara's fear and anxiety were palpable, but Rei's chuckle and relieved sigh seemed to ease the tension. "If you can worry like that, I'm sure you're fully healed now," he said, a hint of amusement dancing in his eyes.
Rei swiftly lifted Sara up, his eyes scanning the surroundings. "We can't stay in one place for too long in the Dark Lands. It's too risky." He grasped her waist, and Sara's face flushed a deep red as she blushed. Rei noticed and held her even tighter, his gaze softening for a moment before he teleported them out of the Dark Lands.
When they reappeared, they found themselves a few miles away from the village they had encountered earlier. Sara pointed towards an alternative route, her voice filled with a sense of caution. "Let's take this path instead. We should avoid running into the chief and the Starweavers again."
Rei nodded in agreement, his eyes never leaving Sara's face. "You're right. We don't want to draw any more attention to ourselves." With that, they set off in the new direction, their journey continuing through the treacherous landscape.
After hours of walking, they stumbled upon a town called "Punk Rock." Sara quickly pulled Rei into the shade of a nearby building, covering his face with her hand. Rei realized why when he saw the wanted posters plastered all over the town, his face plastered on them.
"Looks like we need to be careful," Sara whispered, her eyes scanning the area. "Your fame precedes you, Rei."
Rei nodded, his eyes fixed on the posters. "I had no idea I was this wanted."
Sara smiled wryly. "You're a bit of a legend, Rei. The Child of El, the one who can wield both Chaos and Order."
Rei's expression turned serious. "I'm not a legend, Sara. I'm just a survivor."
Sara's gaze softened. "Whatever you are, Rei, we need to keep you hidden. Let's find a safe place to rest and figure out our next move."
With that, they slipped into the shadows, avoiding the gaze of the townspeople and the watchful eyes of the authorities.
After exploring the town, they stumbled upon a mask shop. Sara purchased a disguise for Rei, helping him conceal his identity. With his face hidden, they ventured out into the open, taking in the town's eerie atmosphere. Punk Rock was adorned with gruesome decorations - heads and body parts hung from buildings, skulls littered the ground.
Sara, familiar with the town's notorious reputation, warned Rei, "Let's keep a low profile and avoid drawing attention to ourselves. Don't interfere with anyone, okay?"
But before she could finish, Rei had already vanished into the crowd. Sara's eyes widened in panic as she frantically searched for him, her heart racing with every passing moment.
"Rei! Rei, where are you?!" she whispered urgently, scanning the bustling streets of Punk Rock.
Rei on the otherhand stumbled upon a horrifying scene: three men assaulting two siblings, a boy and girl around his age. His disgust and outrage propelled him into action. With swift and fierce kicks, he struck the men in the face, sending them crashing into a nearby trash heap. The sudden intervention momentarily stunned the assailants, but they didn't move and became even more terrified.
One of the men lay incapacitated, unable to move, while the other two rose to their feet, their faces red with anger. "Hey boy, what do you think you're doing, kicking strangers?" one of them bellowed, their voices echoing through the streets. The other man charged towards Rei, screaming, "Trying to play hero, eh? Think you're some kind of savior, child?"
Rei stood his ground, his eyes flashing with determination. With swift and precise movements, he took down the two men, his fists flying in a blur of motion. The men crumpled to the ground, defeated, as Rei turned to the siblings and gently helped them to their feet. "Are you okay?" he asked, his voice soft with concern.
Thank you the siblings said, I am Aste and my lil sister is Diane who was hiding behind him. "Nice to meet you, Aste and Diane," Rei said, his faint smile warm and reassuring. He nodded again, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "You're safe now. Those men won't bother you again."
Diane, still hiding behind Aste, peeked out at Rei with wide, curious eyes. Aste, protective of his sister, kept a firm grip on her hand.
"Thank you Mr," Aste said, his voice firm, but grateful. "We owe you."
Rei's smile grew slightly wider. " M...R....M...R...MMMM.....RRRR, who w..ho me Mr, nah nah am still Eleven."
Rei chuckled, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Ah, sorry about that, Diane! I guess I do look older than I am." He grinned, showing off his youthful energy.
Aste's eyes widened in surprise, and he thought to himself, "I'm older than him, but he's bigger and stronger...and he just took down those men like it was nothing!"
Rei's grin softened as he looked at Aste. " Teach me how to be strong" Aste plead bowing slightly.
Rei nodded, a small smile playing on his lips.
"Okay, I'll teach you. But first, let's get out of here and find a safe place to talk."
As Rei led them away from the scene, Diane finally emerged from behind Aste, looking up at Rei with wide eyes.
"You're really strong, Rei," she said, her voice full of wonder.
Rei smiled down at her, his eyes crinkling again. "I've had to be, Diane. But I'll teach Aste here how to be strong too."
After walking awhile from the scene they came across Sara who was already pissed,Sara's eyes blazed with anger as she stormed towards Rei, her hands clenched into fists. "Where have you been?" she demanded, her voice low and menacing.
Before Rei could even open his mouth to respond, Sara's hand shot out, delivering a sharp smack to the back of his head. Rei's eyes widened in surprise as he stumbled backward, losing his balance.
He crashed into a nearby trash can, sending garbage spilling out onto the ground. The metal can clattered loudly as Rei struggled to regain his footing.
Aste and Diane watched in shock, their eyes darting from Sara's furious face to Rei's stunned expression.
"S-Sara, what's wrong?" Rei stammered, rubbing the sore spot on his head.
Sara's glare intensified. "You disappeared without a word! I've been searching everywhere for you. What were you thinking?"
Rei slowly stood up, dusting himself off. "I was just...helping these two," he said, gesturing to Aste and Diane.
Sara's gaze flicked to the siblings, her expression softening slightly. "Who are they?"
They're my siblings Rei replied, Rei's casual response sent shockwaves through the group.
Aste, Diane, and Sara chorused in unison, "Siblings!!!" their voices laced with disbelief.
Aste's eyes widened, "What?! Rei, how is that possible?"
Diane's face mirrored Aste's astonishment, "Yeah, Rei, you never mentioned siblings!"
Sara's expression transformed from anger to confusion, her brow furrowed, "Rei, what's going on?"
Rei walked towards Sara, a calm smile on his face, and gently tapped her shoulder. "Hey, let's talk about this later, okay?" he said softly.
Sara's gaze lingered on Rei's face, her eyes searching for answers. She nodded slowly, still looking perplexed.
The group stood there, frozen in surprise, as Rei's revelation hung in the air like a challenge, waiting to be addressed.
