Healing Bath

The clear blue water parted to reveal the form of a beautiful white colored long creature that emerged from within the falling water on its sides, adding to its charm.

The scales on its skin shimmered in the sunlight, that reached this part from the dense canopies of the trees.

The scales had resplendent bluish-white hue which shone majestically under the dim rays of sunlight, drawing a awe-inspiring sight.

Its dark-yellow, almost gold, crescent eyes narrowed into slits that were locked onto Cordelia's shocked ocean blue eyes.

Cordelia's mouth hung-open wide with her eyes bulging out of their sockets as she took in the visage of the massive creature that suddenly emerged from the pond.

Its thickness enough to place at least ten Cordelia side-by-side and still have space for more. Its head towered over her form many times, like the difference between an ant and a elephant.

She couldn't fathom how vast the full creature could be, but that wasn't what mattered as she soon noticed that it hadn't moved towards her.

Rather, it was only gazing at her with its reptilian snake-like eyes.

With two tiny small horns growing from the side of its head, they had similar color to its scales but appeared way too pristine.

Looking at the humongous snake-like creature, Cordelia racked her brain at full speed to identify it.

'What is this creature?? It looks similar to a snake but more like an Imoogi with those horns. If I am not wrong, don't they usually become dragons, the eastern types, upon ascension?'

The creature, unaware of her thoughts suddenly moved its head downwards near her, meeting her at eye level.

Yet only one of its eye outsized her entire head and the close distance caused Cordelia to almost die of a shock or a heartattack.

It stopped in its tracks, but Cordelia's heart beat too wildly before she fell to the ground on her butt in absolute shock and despair.

'I-I can't even touch it, let alone defeat it!'

"Youngling, fret not. You have passed thy test."

Suddenly, a pure and warm voice echoed across the region as Cordelia failed to comprehend its source, before her head turned to face the creature.

"W-were... y–"

Barely able to fumble a word, the creature cut her off, "Yes, youngling. You can take a bath in this pool for as long as you wish as a reward."

It explained slowly and calmly, but Cordelia's mind focused on two entirely different things.

'Her voice sounds feminine... and strangely affectionate!? She is definitely a loving mother!'

'Secondly, 'as long as I wish', doesn't that mean till eternity? Haha, surely she jests. I don't want to die.'

The white imoogi didn't waste her time to wait for Cordelia as she directly returned to the water, leaving the human girl behind in deep thought.

Well, Cordelia's reasoning and conclusions weren't off the mark in the slightest, but it changed nothing of her situation.

"Ah, fuck it! Whatever happens, happens."

Shrugging her shoulders helplessly as she couldn't figure out anything, she directly took off her bloody dress and sticky undergarments before quickly going inside the pond naked.

Uwaah~

She let out a happy noise as she felt the cold water touch her skin and give her a refreshing feeling.

'Ah~ Just how long has it been since I took such a nice bath?'

Despite the blissfulness she felt, Cordelia didn't want to lose the track of time and end up staying her eternally or something.

Not wishing to overstay her welcome any longer than necessary, she quickly began to rub the cold pond water against her skin to get rid of the dirt, grime, blood, sweat and any lingering particles.

Just as she was about to exit the water, she felt one of the wound on her left palm sting before the water entered, healing the wound without leaving a scar in less than five seconds.

"Ah!? W-what!?"

Unable to believe the magical phenomena, she inadvertently let out a surprised yelp before drowning her head in embarrassment.

'How did I forget something so basic!? You don't let open wounds come in direct contact with water and I forgot that my body has too many of them!'

'Plus, this is the world of fantasy and magic! Almost anything is possible in this world. What's so special about a random pond being resided by some threatening creature, with that said water being able to heal wounds magically?'

Cordelia nodded her head as she felt her reasoning logical and realised that the contamination and infection of wounds that usually occurred in her orignal world might not happen here.

Still, she decided to not undo all the bandages as she slowly let the open wounds heal before taking any riskes.

After 5 minutes of not noticing any change in the pond except for her own shrieks of pain due to the stings of the wounds getting healed, she decided to stay for a little longer.

She had slowly undone all her bandages on her arms after her open wonds like scratches, scrapes, scabs, blisters and foot wounds healed.

'It should be nearly 30 minutes since I cane here, should I leave or risk it?'

Cordelia was in the middle of wondering what do as all her wounds had healed excluding her the ones on her back near her waist that were left behind by the goblins.

'They are a little deeper and older, so I don't know how long it would take to heal them...'

Gritting her teeth, shr decided to risk it as she undid both her bandages at once and now she was in a clear pond without a single cloth on her as the water stayed calm like ever.

Despite it being calm, she could feel her back itch as the wounds healed. This time, however, it took longer as even after 10 minutes, she could feel the sting.

Arghh

'At least one of them healed completely,' thought Cordelia while gritting her teeth to prevent her from shouting and troubling the Imoogi.

Luckily for her, the gamble paid off as there was no sign of the Imoogi even after another 5 minutes and all her wounds healed.

"Ah... I have to leave here."

Cordelia felt slightly sad at having to leave such a nice place, but what other choice did she have?

Just as she exited the pond, and looked for her clothes, she found them missing. Her countenance froze as she stood naked with water dripping down her form as looked for her clothes before she inexplicably fainted.

That was the last memory she had of that dreamy place.
