Pretending to Be in Love - 2

I watched silently as five SUVs' drove in, approaching the main entrance. The cars stopped in front of us, and immediately the doors flew open, men dressed in black suits and black shades alighted the first car, and rushed to the second car.

I heaved out when Mr Marco walked out with Samantha, his wife. She smiled and engulfed me in a hug the moment she came to where I stood.

"Hope my son hasn't been giving you any tough time?" She asked softly and I shook my head negatively. "He better not." I laughed and gave her a peck on the cheek.

Mr Marco simply nodded at me and I offered him a small smile in return.

My nervousness returned when the men in black suit surrounded the third car. The door of the car opened and a tall figure came out of the car. It was a man, I couldn't see him properly because he was surrounded by bodyguards, making it hard to see him properly. The man looked around before making his way to where I stood with Alexander and his parents.

I gulped down forcefully as I stared with masked surprise at the figure that stood in front me. His eyes was a striking resemblance to that of Alexander. My eyes took in his features that surprising looks young for someone who is a grandfather. He was clad in a two-piece emerald suit, his pure black shoes polished to its finest. He had a long silver walk stick in his hand. I can see snippets of tattoos peeking out of his right hand and his neck.

My grip on Alexander's shirt tightened. This man exudes confidence, poise and intimidation. It was taking all my willpower not to shrink away and hide behind Alexander. He looks more dangerous than even Mr Marco and Alexander combined. The more perplexed thing is that he doesn't look like a grandfather.

"Are you sure this is your grandfather? I think you're mistaken. Isn't this your father's elder brother?" A chuckle escaped his lips and he leaned down to kiss my lips.

Oh, right! I forgot I was supposed to be an actress today.

"Hey! Grandpappy! Feels nice to have you here. I've really missed you." Alexander gave his grandfather a manly hug and the man let out a laugh. It sounded rich to the ears.

He looked at me after he was released by Alexander. My heart pounded against my chest when he walked up to me.

"It's so lovely to finally meet you, my dear," Grandfather said as he took my hand. "Alexander has told me so much about you." My insides relaxed a little and I gave him the fakest smile I could muster.

"I'm sure he has," I said and smiled politely, feeling the weight of the charade we were about to put on. Alexander put his arm around me and pulled me close, planting a kiss on my cheek.

"We're glad that you're here grandpa. There's no other suitable partner I could share my life with. She's really my all in all."

I was taken aback by Alexander's words. They felt so genuine, even though I knew they were simply part of our act. But I couldn't help but be swept up in the moment.

Alexander's grandfather nodded before we all headed inside towards the dinning room. As we all sat down for dinner and conversation, my nervousness slowly crept back up. Alexander squeezed my hand and gave me a reassuring smile as he settled beside me.

Claire and two other maids came in and served us food and drinks.

"So, Ivory, hope Alexander hasn't been a pain in the ass? This grandson of mine can be a handful most times just like his father," Grandfather said, making me look at him.

"No, in fact, he's been the best husband anyone could ever ask for. I don't even deserve him. He can be overbearing at times, but I love him so much." I turned to stare at Alexander whose gaze was already pinned on me. He swallowed before smiling at me. He took my hand in his, and gave it a kiss.

"Awww, honey, they remind me so much of us during those days."Samantha, Alexander's mother squealed while smiling lovingly at us. I guess, they're also in on this act up.

Grandfather squinted his eyes at me a little before nodding. He took a bite of his beef before setting his cutleries down. "So, tell me dear, Ivory, how did you do it? I mean you made Alexander's alle....." Mr Marco suddenly cleared his voice loudly, totally cutting Grandfather off. When Grandfather looked at him, Mr Marco shook his head at him.

Grandfather looked back at me and flashed me a grin. "You look so beautiful, dear. Trust me, if you weren't already married to my grandson, I would've made you mine."

My cheeks instantly heat up, and I know my face would be as red as tomatoes right now. I quickly let out an awkward laugh. "I'm sorry, Grandfather, but I can't imagine myself with someone else other than Alexander."

Jeers and jibes sounds filled the air and I could hear Grandfather feigning a sob sound. "Oh, my granddaughter-in-law just broke the remaining pieces of my heart." He held his chest and bent his head a little.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I really didn't mean to." Everyone around the the table erupted into laughter. Grandfather was so nice and playful, a perfect contrast to what I thought he'd be. I slowly found myself becoming more comfortable around him.

The smile on my face wiped off when I felt Alexander's hand on my lap. I swiftly turned to look at him, but his gaze was fixed on his grandfather who was talking about how he won Alexander's grandmother's heart.

As I stole another glance at him, I noticed his eyes twinkling mischievously. My body tensed, my breath catching in my throat. I shot him a questioning look, but he simply flashed me a sly grin before continuing to caress my thigh in a teasing manner.

I felt a flush of heat spread through my body, my cheeks burning with embarrassment. I tried to maintain my composure, knowing that he was intentionally provoking me. His touch was light and fleeting, sending shivers down my spine. I struggled to contain my reactions, not wanting to draw attention to the intimate gesture happening beneath the table.

Despite the intensity of the moment, I couldn't help but feel a flutter of excitement in my stomach. His touch was electrifying, igniting a spark of desire within me. I tried to focus on the conversation at hand, but his caresses were distracting, making it harder for me to keep my cool.

As the dinner progressed, Alexander's touch became bolder, his fingers tracing patterns on my thigh. I bit my lip to stifle a gasp, my breath hitching as I struggled to maintain my facade. It was a game of cat and mouse, with him pushing the boundaries of his flirtation in front of his family.

Despite the whirlwind of emotions swirling inside me, I couldn't deny the thrill of the forbidden intimacy. I was torn between wanting to push him away and wanting to lean into his touch. As the evening drew to a close, I couldn't shake the lingering sensation of his touch on my skin, leaving me yearning for more.

"So, tell me, where did you two meet?" Grandfather's voice boomed and I felt Alexander's hand leave my thigh.

"At the bar."

"At the Cafe."

Grandfather's face contorted into a frown and he squinted his eyes at us. Oh-h, there was a caught!
