Unannounced Visit

I stood staring up at the skyscraper in front of me. It really stood tall and magnificent, just like the man who owned it. I meant it when I said he wouldn't like my next course of action. I've had enough of him not allowing me to get a job and I've decided to take matters into my hands.

I quickly looked around, to make sure that none of my bodyguards followed me here. I managed to stall them at Ava's bakery where I left through the back door without their notice. I didn't want any of them informing Alexander that I was coming to his office. I'm gonna take him by total surprise. A sinister smile appeared on my lips as I looked up at the tall building again before walking inside. I have never been here before, but I did my research and knew exactly where to find his office. I guess this is the company he chose to settle with, of all his companies, hotels and clubs.

As I entered the sleek modern building, I felt a mixture of excitement and nerves. I don't know if Alexander will be mad if he sees me here or not. I let out a deep sigh and approached the lady at the desk.

She looked a bit older than me with her hair packed up into a ponytail and her green doe eyes shining brightly. She looked quite beautiful.

"Umm, hi, excuse me." She looked up from the computer in front of her and flashed me a smile.

"Oh, hi. How can I help you?" She chirped, standing up enthusiastically. She must be a happy soul.

"I'm here to see Alexander," I replied, my voice low and moderated. She squinted her eyes at me for a few seconds and nodded.

"Do you have an appointment with him?" I shook my head at her, and she sighed.

"I'm afraid you can't meet him without having an appointment with him." She shook her head a little, staring pointedly at me.

I scoffed and rolled my eyes. Not at her though - but at her words. I needed an appointment to see my husband? MY HUSBAND? Really? Someone I live under the same roof with? Company rules can be really funny at times.

"What's your name?" I asked the lady, while adjusting the sleeve of my turquoise blue gown. It was a straight cut, coperate gown that was hugging my body. I had worn it with a black stiletto and a black necktie.

"Molly." She smiled and I returned it before turning to look around. Everyone around was just going about their business. I bit my lower lip out of habit and then stepped forward a little.

"Well, Molly, I am Alexander's wife, and I don't need an appointment to see my husband, do I?" I flashed her a cocky smirk when she gasped, and covered her mouth with her eyes wide. She slowly shook her head 'no' at me, and I slowly nodded my head 'yes' at her.

"Oh my God...I'm so sorry...I'm so sorry...

we...I don't...gosh," she looked all flushed up as she waved her hand around frantically. I bet, she's nervous now.

"It's fine, Molly. Can you lead the way to his office?" I asked, flashing her a wide smile. She nervously returned the smile, before she quickly rounded her desk and came to stand in front of me.

"This way, ma'am." She started walking towards an elevator and I followed suit. We entered the elevator and it dinged shut. She punched in a number before stepping back to stand beside me as the elevator went up. She kept glancing at me from the corner of her eyes. She was a nervous mess and I don't get why. I mean, I don't bite, her nervousness is making me nervous too.

"You know, I don't bite, Molly. Loosen up." She let out a small awkward laugh, but didn't say anything. "I love your hair," I said, referring to her fiery red hair, trying to make the atmosphere less awkward.

"Thank you," she muttered, and just then the elevator dinged and opened. She stepped out of the elevator and I followed behind her.

We stopped in front of a silver metal door and when she was about to knock, the door suddenly opened and a brunette girl stood staring back at Molly and I.

She blinked and fully stepped out of the office, shutting the door behind her before I could look inside the office. She folded her arms over her chest and gave us a look of disdain.

Okay, she seems sassy.

"What brings you here Molly? And who's this??" She nudged at me with her head while looking at me from head to toe.

Molly rolled her eyes at her before muttering something under her breath. "This is Mr...."

"My name's Ivory, Alexander's wife. I'm here to see my husband. Is he inside the office?" I asked, quickly cutting Molly off. A look of surprise flashed the brunnette's face, but she quickly covered it up with a scoff.

"His wife?? Seriously?? Molly, are you that unprofessional that you'd just bring any lady up here because she's claiming to be Mr Alexander's wife?" Her voice was slightly raised and she was glaring hard at Molly.

Is she the manager here or what?? I moved and stood in front of Molly, staring down at the brunette.

"I don't know who you think you are, and I don't care to know. I want to see my husband." I gave her a hard stare and she returned it with the same alacrity.

"Angel??" I swiftly turned at the direction of the familiar voice only to see Alexander who stood five steps away from us with five men who were dressed in suit standing behind him. He had a surprise look on his face, but it was instantly gone.

"Babe!!" With a wide smile on my lips, I approached him, swaying my lips to the sides much to the brunette's grimace. I could feel her surprised eyes following my every step. I immediately plunged myself at Alexander, his hands rapidly wrapping around my waist protectively. I planted a soft kiss on his lips and then turned to look at the brunette who looked as if she just saw a ghost.

Yep, sweety...You can kiss my ass!
