-Rony: "jay asked me to text kai with the garage's location and ask him to come over."
-Mert: "and why didn't he text him from his personal phone?"
-Rony: "because jay wasn't friends with anyone from our class on social media, He didn't have their numbers either. And jay is the type to order us around and ask us to do things for him all the time even small ones like opening a can of soda, place his phone to the charger.."
-Mert: "and you guys didn't have a problem with that?"
-Rony: "No, not at all. He was a good friend."
-Mert: "can you tell me how did the fight between them two start?"
-Rony: "well, when kai arrived.. he thought there was something important that jay wanted to talk to him about because that's what he made me text him with. But jay ignored the fact that kai was on the door and started laughing with sezar and talk about how stupid kai is and how he believes everything so easily then he told kai to leave because they're done with him.
Kai got mad and started talking back because that was rude of jay you know.
That was when sezar started the fight by punching kai first, then Jay joined him.
of course kai had to defend himself so he hit back and in these moments Jay pulled away and got his gun. Kai felt the threat and got in another fight with Jay to take the gun from him and he could, he did somehow manage to take it from him."
-Mert: "he shot sezar once he got the gun?"
-Rony: "no, when sezar noticed that kai's winning on jay he approached him from the back with a knife so I shouted telling him to stop and once kai turned around he shot him."
-Mert: "and how did he end up shooting jay?"
-Rony: "when sezar was shot jay started strangling kai with both hands.. he was nearly dying, he was suffocating and his face color was going blue... he'd be dead if he didn't act and shot jay too.."
-Mert: "why're you being defensive towards Kai?"
-Rony: "I'm not.. I'm just telling you what happened. Jay and sezar were my best friends and if there's anyone I'd like to defend and side with then it has to be them but I also don't wanna be unjust and tell lies.."
-Mert: "hmmh.. impressive.. anyway, tell me,
did jay Walker invite kai over with the intention of killing him?"
-Rony: "no sir, he had no intentions to kill kai. He just had a silly bet with sezar on wether kai would come or not."
-Mert: "who opened the door for Kai when he arrived?"
-Rony: "me.. I did."
-Mert: "if you knew that Jay was going to make Kai leave not so long after he got there anyway, Why did you feel the need to lock the door?"
-Rony: "because I could open it for him again when he's leaving anytime so I don't see why leave it open because we never leave the door to the garage open no matter what.. Jay made it clear that he hates that."
-Mert: "okay.. Rony.. you do realize that holding things with any type of fabric won't leave prints right?"
-Rony: "yes?.. I know that information."
-Mert: "and you were wearing gloves that day, weren't you?"
-Charlie: "Objection your honor, what does this have to do with the case?"
-Mert: "please be patient sir, what I'm trying to prove is a game changer"
"overruled.. Mr. Firat, please continue"
-Mert: "thanks your honor. So Rony you were wearing gloves weren't you?"
-Rony: "y-yes.."
-Mert: "and why's that? As far as I remember it was sunny that day"
-Rony: "it was.. but I wore them because i- was solving some maths equations on the chalkboard that Jay has in the garage.. and I'm kinda allergic to chalk.."
-Mert: "you're allergic to it?"
-Rony: "yea.."
-Mert: "that means you'll have Contact dermatitis if you come into contact with chalk now right?"
-Rony: "n-no i won't.. I'm not exactly allergic.. I mean I hate the feeling of it.. I don't know how to explain that.."
-Mert: "are you trying to lie to the court?"
-Rony: "no.. I'm- I'm not lying! I just didn't know how to word it!"
-Charlie: "Objection your honor. He's going so hard on the kid.. there was mathematics equations written on the board. And he's a child of course he'd make mistakes.. in fact what would be suspicious at a time like this is him not making any mistakes at all and talking smoothly in such an age and conditions"
"Please proceed, counsel."
-Mert: "sorry if that was so harsh.. so my point is.. did you Rony take the gun from Jay somehow and passed it to Kai?"
-Charlie: "objection your honor, why would he even do that? Jay walker and Sezar Julien were literally his friends."
-Mert: "you're anticipating events, my job is to prove my point the rest is for the court to figure out."
"Overruled."
-Mert: "Rony please answer"
-Rony: "NNO!! I- I- I've never touched a gun before and I'd never!! Why would I even do that?? And- and Jay didn't trust anyone with it except for sezar. He'd never give it to me no matter what and I'd never ask him for it..
I'm so against violence and anything related to it.. I-"
-Mert: "Relax, did I make you anxious?"
-Rony: "no sir- I'm just surprised..I feel violated"
-Mert: "it's okay.. can you tell me why did you and kai meet few days before the incident?"
-Rony: "(huh? How did they know? We- we didn't expect I'd get this question)"
He looked at kai for a second then payed his attention to the lawyer again
"W-well.. we- we didn't.. it wasn't a meet up,
it just happened that I ran into him in the park so we sat together and had a talk about mina and about how dark our class is without her presence. He also told me about how depressed Daniel is and all..."
-Mert: "I see.. why didn't you call the police once the fight started?"
-Rony: "I couldn't think straight sir, I was really scared and just cowering in fear in the corner.
Two of my friends fell dead and kai passed out from the shock and all I did was cover my ears and take a moment to process whatever was in front of me. It was so hard on me... but once I snapped out of it I reported the incident."
-Mert: "I have another question for you.. and I want you to be honest."
Rony nodded nervously as the lawyer asked
"Who moved sezar's body, you or Kai?"
-Charlie: "(what the hell)"
he thought to himself before speaking out loud
"Objection your honor. My friend right here is assuming things, he's talking as if it's already proven that the body was moved. Isn't he supposed to ask if they moved the body at all?"
"Mr. Firat, are you trying to get cancelled?"
-Mert: "my apologies your honor.. Rony, tell me honestly did you guys move the body? That's what The blood marks wiped on the floor tell"
-Rony: "we- we didn't.. Kai.. didn't.. and I-
I didn't.."
-Mert: "you sure?"
-Charlie: "Objection your honor, he has already answered."
"stop wasting the court's time Mert."

After few more questions, Mert was done questioning Rony. He then bowed down before the judge as he allowed Charlie to question Rony next
"Mr. Brooks, the witness is yours"
-Charlie: "thanks your honor.."
He walked over to the witness stand
"hey Rony, how're you doing?"
-Rony: "I'm.. okay?"
-Charlie: "how do you feel about what happened?"
-Rony: "sad.. very sad and also.. angry.."
-Charlie: "why angry?"
-Rony: "because.. I couldn't help my friends.."
-Charlie: "did you love them?"
-Rony: "so much.. they were.. the first people who talked to me in school.. and we had a lot of good times together.."
-Charlie: "okay.. tell me.. what about kai and jay, did they have any problems going on between them?"
-Rony: "no sir, nothing serious.. jay used to pick on kids for fun and kai used to stand up for them.. this used to create some tension between them but nothing big. Jay forgets that kai exists once he leaves the school."
-Charlie: "I understand.. can you tell me again why was it impossible for kai to get the gun first?"
-Rony: "because sir it's Jay's. And he keeps it in an ironic safe with a passcode that even sezar and I didn't know."

After asking him so many questions as well, Charlie allowed Rony to go back to his seat as he was about to make his closing argument

"Your honor jay and sezar invited kai over then started mocking him and making fun of him.
when he tried to talk back they ganged up on him and they even threatened his life with a gun that jay owned and he was the only one that had access to, and a knife that had sezar's fingerprints on it.
Seeing that his friend was losing the fight, sezar tried to attack kai with the knife and because kai has some pretty fast reactions he shot sezar defending himself and while being choked to death he shot jay for the same reason. The garage was also found in a total mess which proves that they actually had a fight.
It was stated that jay and kai's fathers had a good relationship and they were partners in work until mr. Jhon smith passed away.
kai has no personal problems or grudges against jay. All the "getting called criminal by Jay in class and the fights they used to have almost everyday" thing, means nothing and add up nothing to the case,
Because if both used to beat and get beaten up by each other then think of it as if it was nothing once they get back home, why would Kai even try to kill him? And how would he even go to do so unarmed?
He didn't even know about Jay's garage until Jay himself texted him with the location..
Even if he planned to kill Jay, and there's literally no motive or prove to back that possibility up, why would he kill sezar?
Because after all, Sezar wasn't a part of these silly arguments and fights these two teenagers used to have because of what might be jealousy.. and wouldn't he kill Rony since he witnessed everything?
We have now a witness who told us everything in details and all the evidences that were collected from the crime scene prove that he's not telling any lies. This case is as clear as water your honor! so I don't see why not releasing kai smith. That's all I have to say."

Rony was staring at kai from his seat in the back
(-Rony: "I'm glad I was able to stick to the plan. I'm still trembling")
He then put his hands on his lap and looked down
("Telling all these lies in the court is better then getting killed or exposed right?
It'll be fine... I will be fine.. that's what matters. As long as I don't embarrass the family, everything is fine. Right grandpa?..")
