Coming out, the two saw an exhausted Mira, holding tightly onto her sword, a deep frown on her face as she glared at someone ahead.

But none of them bothered to see who or what it was that she was glaring at.

Mira was their first priority.

They rushed to her side, concerned about her.

"Mi, are you okay?" An anxious, worried Den asked.

Panting, Mira forced out the words, "I'm fine master" tightening her hold on the sword even more.

She let out a cough, vomiting out blood and this worried the two even more.

"You're not okay," Den said.

Mira must have used too much of her energy.

Feeling worried, guilty, he took out his handkerchief and gently wiped her stained lips, gaining Mira's attention.

"Master"

"Is okay, I'll take it from here" he assured her with a smile before throwing away the handkerchief which was already down with its done.

Den was angry. Burning with rage. Who dares hurt his beloved sister. They're not getting away with it!

Slowly, he reached out for the sword. And Mira could only watch as he took it.

Anger, determination, displayed in his eyes.

The cause of her exhaustion was in deep sh*t. Mira could see.

And at times like this, she dare not go against her master.

Getting the sword, Den faced ahead, and there, he saw the person responsible for Mira's current state.

Age, unknown. Dressed in black-red clothes.

A lady. A short lady.

Might or might not be beautiful.

But Den couldn't deny it, she looked stunning in those clothes even though her face was hidden.

Well, the aura was another thing.

She wore a mask, revealing just her eyes. And as their eyes met, Den noticed something.

Pain, anger and hatred.

He wondered if she knew him.

"You......You!" The lady screamed out in anger.

Oh, she did.

In protective mode, Den stood before Mira. Hiding her from the eyes of the agitated lady.

"You....You killed Pike! You killed Pike!" She screamed out.

Den was confused. Who the heck was Pike?

"I saw it in his memories, I saw you. I saw you! You killed him!!"

What the heck was this crazy lady talking about?!

Who the heck was she talking about?

Pike? He didn't know anyone by that name.

"You know me?" Den asked in a confused tone, angering the lady even more.

"How dare you ask such a question?!"

Uh? Of course he dared. He didn't know her or this Pike person.

Of course he'll ask.

"Seriously, I am confused. You said I killed this Pike person, but I haven't killed anyone lately"

True, after leaving Ric Town, he hasn't encountered anyone and ended up killing them.

What the heck was this lady talking about?

Was she alright in the head?

"Liar! I saw it in his memories! You still wear the same mask! You beheaded him! Where the heck is his head?!"

Saw it in his memories? Beheaded?...... hold on, he was getting something......... could it..... could it be she was talking about.....

Spider?

Or, did she mistake him for someone else?

"It doesn't matter. I promised, I'll avenge his death!"

She released an overbearing arua, making it impossible to stand but the three stood firmly on their grounds.

They were not normal people after all.

They watched, as the lady raised up her hand and a book appeared, midair right before her.

What was up with the book? What was it?

None of them knew but Mira who had an encounter with the book earlier (Before they came) knew.

"Careful Master, that book of hers....."

"Don't worry Mi, I don't plan on getting killed by a little girl" Den assured her with a smile.

Reminded of who her master was, Mira kept her lips shut, dismissing all negative thoughts.

"Did you just call me little girl?! We'll see about that!" She angrily said, and the book opened to a certain page.

The force that came with it was so immense, intense, however, it was nothing Den couldn't handle.

He stood on his ground, holding tightly onto the sword, fearlessly waiting for her to attack.

And just when the lady thought of going all out, showing no mercy or forgiveness, she felt the low beeping sound of her transmitter.

Immediately, she took it out of her pocket, wearing an irritated look and Den noticed it was the same one spider had.

Definitely, the two were related somehow.

Definitely,......she was talking about Spider.

Mira was right. They were in danger, and they met it sooner than they thought.

"What?! Am busy!" She yelled out furiously, holding the transmitter in hand.

"Master wants you back. We have to set out for the other mission" a guy's voice was heard from the other end.

Master,...... another mission. What exactly were these people into? Who were they?

Den was curious.

"Not until I finish him off! Pike was so good, so kind, yet he had to die! I'll show him no mercy!"

Pike, Spider, she said that guy was so good. So kind.

What was so good about him? He killed four innocent people just for fun.

Now Den was even more angry.

"I guess you've found the killer. Good, however, put your revenge on hold, master comes first. Remember, his priority is our priority" the guy said and this calmed down the lady.

Just a bit.

True.

He was right,..... but then.......

"We'll meet" the guy said and then disconnected. The red emerald stopped glowing and she shoved it back into her pocket before looking back at Den.

She still planned on giving him what he deserved.

Glaring fiercely at him, she began,

"Living and dead are mine to control! Come forth my precious dolls!!" A gust of strong wind blew out of the book, but the three stood strong.

They were taken by surprise when suddenly, hundreds of what seemed to be living dead, appeared right behind the lady.

Their bodies were rotten, eyes dark. Wearing worn out and torn clothes and shoes..........

These used to be people.

Looking around, one of them caught Den's attention.

He recognized him.

Master Terio, the leader of Fall.

And he guessed the others were his workers and students.

They......They were all dead, turned into living corpses.

This.......his fears were coming true.

Was it the lady? Did she do this? The scene here,........did she do it?

She and the late Spider belonged to an unknown organization,........ were they behind this?

Surely, it had nothing to do with.........

"I have to leave" the lady announced, gaining their attention, including Den.

"This is my parting gift. If we meet again, I'll kill you myself!" She said and then disappeared, just like that, with the book.

But the dead people of Fall were still here. Right before them.

Looking maniacally at them. Growling and ready to attack.

"Master......" A concern Mira called out to him.

Too many of them and it was just the three of them.

Three? Mira had to exclude herself. She has used too much of her energy and couldn't continue.

They were doomed.

"I'll take care of this. Don't you believe me, Mi?"

Mira was taken back and she stared at her master.

She forgot again.

Her master was stronger than he seemed.

"I'm sorry" she apologized and a smile graced Den's face.

"I'll help" Yuuki volunteered.

"Aren't you a life savior?" Den replied and watched as Yuuki made his way beside him.

"Time to prove yourselves! Kill them!!" The lady's voice echoed but she was nowhere to be seen.

However, her command was obeyed. The living dead charged forward and Den, not wanting to reveal himself, chose to fight with the sword alone.

Subconsciously, Yuuki also drew out his sword. Only thinking of winning.

From a glance and one could tell Yuuki was not in his right state of mind.

Together, they marched forward to deal with the danger.

They were faster, skilled unlike the dead who were slower and out.

They couldn't think, and only followed the strong intuition to kill and destroy.

You can say, Den and Yuuki had the upper hand.

Using their swords, they fought against the dead who only used their sharp long claws for the battle.

Avoiding their attacks and pursues, the two put an end to them.

And the result was them turning into ashes.

They already lost their souls, and this was the outcome.

Focusing, Yuuki couldn't help but notice more of the living dead were attacking Den.

And he guessed it must be because they felt the lady, their master's resentment and desire for his death.

That had to be.

Even so, they were still no match for Den.

He showed no fear. No concern. No hesitation as he put an end to them one after the other.

Watching Den, Yuuki had to admit, the guy was skilled with a sword.

Capable of defeating the enemy by himself.

However, he couldn't let that happen.

For some reason, Yuuki wanted to prove himself.

He didn't know why but he felt it was necessary.

And so, he focused more on killing the enemy.

Not long after, the last living dead was killed. By Yuuki.

The guy was exhausted.

Not in a good state yet he still used his energy and before he could catch a break, Mira's horrified scream was heard.

"Master!"

Looking around, Yuuki noticed, successfully, all the living dead had been taken care of, but then,........Den.......

He was gone.

He was nowhere to be seen.
