Era of Reckoning

I quickly shot a spike made of darkness at one of the snakes eyes and cut the Shadow snake off my leg with [Shadow Reaper]. The beast roared in pain as it's Shadow was severed but, sadly, the dark spike never made it to it's target as it disintegrated in the purple gas. I ran through the forest hoping to throw the beast off my trail as it still couldn't sense my Shadow but my hope was dashed as I heard slithering sounds behind me. Looking back, I saw angry purple staring at me and they were getting closer by the second. The snake eventually caught up to me and instead of using it's tail this time, it used it's jaws. The snake opened it's jaws wide and tried to swallow me whole but I managed keep myself from being swallowed by blocking it's upper jaw with my sword but the force of it's jaw trying to close force me to kneel on it's lower jaw. I could feel it's smaller fangs piercing through the [Impish Shroud] causing knee and the sole of my foot to bleed.
