Era of Reckoning

Alex rushed out of his hiding spot, the shadow of a tree, and ran towards the the windigo. The other monsters noticed him as well, but even while wearing the [Grey Mantle], he was still too fast for them to attack due to his sudden appearance. He slashed at the leg of the windigo, drawing blood and causing it to fall to it's knees. The windigo quickly swung it's fist, that was as big as Alex's head, at him and he quickly sunk into his shadow, causing it to miss. Alex appeared behind the windigo and stabbed into the shadow of the creature's chest, ready to end the fight, but something unexpected happened.


'What?' Alex eyes widened in surprise as only a quarter of the blade sunk into the shadow. The windigo angrily swung around it's hand, sending Alex flying through into the forest, breaking through a few trees as he went.


"Cough, cough." Alex coughed up blood and he could feel his cracked chest plate under his armour, but it wasn't life threatening.
