Era of Reckoning

Alex woke up early the next morning in order to avoid anyone else Avery might send after him. Lisa also decided to stay behind, saying that she wanted to enjoy what Mountmend had to offer. He offered to leave Fiend with her but she said that he would need the little monster more than her in the current situation and he agreed. No matter how powerful and rich nobles were, they still had to follow the laws of the city to maintain order and Alex doubted that he was worth disrupting the order within the city. So, as long as Lisa remained in the city, she would be safe and Alex wished he could say the same for himself. He headed towards the bus station with Fiend hiding in his shadow, unaware that someone was following him.
