Era of Reckoning

Alex and Goro exited the arena and Felix threw a furious look at the two of them, but he knew better than to say anything.


"You have showed me what you can do, and although you seem rough around the edges, I'm sure we can fix that. So what do you say Alex, want to join the Maxwell family?" Avery asked


"Sir, although I'm honoured by your invitation. I must decline, my loyalty lies with the Guild." Alex answered, and everyone except Lisa, Katelin and the guild master looked shocked. They couldn't believe that he could decline an invitation given directly by the head of the family, one which most of them would love to get. The Guild master also looked at Alex emotionlessly, as although Alex had declared his loyalty to the Guild, he could tell that it was complete bullshit.
