Era of Reckoning

After spending two more hours at the restaurant talking, laughing, and of course, eating, they decided to leave, after all, there is only so much food they can eat. When Alex saw the bill, his eyebrows didn't even twitch due to how intoxicated. The two of them walked home, evidently drunk to all the passerbys. Alex fumbled with the keys, and after fifteen minutes, he was finally able to open the door. Alex stepped inside shakily and both of them started climbing the stairs,  but in their drunken state, Alex missed a step, causing both of them to fall to the ground, knocking them unconscious.
