Life isn't fare isn't it.

Next when he woke up, his face was having more emotions than usual, and the sky was gloomier than before, and had an uncanny amount of fog in it. In his usual jogg to the gym, he helped the old man open his store, but didn't stand to give him a smile, just waved at him. He gave some extra money to the mother and child, and patted the wild dog half heartedly, and the dog nuzzled him, and Joseph patted him once more with a fake smile .

As he arrived at the gym, Joseph threw himself into his work with renewed determination, guiding his clients through their workouts with energy and enthusiasm. Yet, no matter how hard he tried to distract himself, thoughts of Jemma lingered in the back of his mind, a constant presence that refused to be ignored.

But even in the midst of his own struggles, Joseph remained steadfast in his commitment to Jemma, determined to be there for her no matter what challenges lay ahead. And as he finished his last session of the day, an accented feminine voice came asking for guidance.

" Can you help me lift this? " and he tilted his head to look at the said voice . He saw otherworldly beauty of Asian proportions, but that didn't sway him, and he looked at her doing dumbbells on the adjustable benches, his eyes stayed at her for few seconds and then he looked at the robust and weirdly office type bodyguard uniforms, and then it gradually shifted to the men looking at her. And seeing him taking time she asked again for help. He stopped what he was doing and went to help her.

As Joseph helped the Japanese woman with the dumbbells, her genuine smile which he noticed, and sensed a hint of cunning behind its facade of gratitude . Her eyes, though appearing friendly, darted around as if assessing the situation and the people nearby. Joseph couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to her than met the eye.

As they conversed, the woman's questions seemed innocuous at first, but Joseph couldn't help but sense an underlying agenda. Her inquiries delved into his personal life, his interests, and even his relationship status, all delivered with a practiced charm that left Joseph feeling uneasy.

Despite her charming and friendly demeanor, Joseph couldn't shake the feeling of being analyzed and scrutinized by the woman's mind, and the look of calculation from those bodyguards, It was like they were probing for weaknesses, searching for any sign of vulnerability to exploit.

As their interaction came to an end, the woman bid Joseph farewell with a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes. And though Joseph couldn't quite put his finger on it, he couldn't shake the feeling that he had just been the subject of a carefully orchestrated game of manipulation and speculation.

Being from the dark he knows that gaze. He glanced at the woman, and saw her busy in her workout.

He sensed fakeness coming from her in waves, but he didn't voice his thoughts, and continued doing his job.

As Joseph wrapped up his duties at the gym, he was surprised when the Japanese woman's body guard approached him, inviting him on behalf of their boss in her car for what she called "business talks." Her offer seemed innocuous enough, but Joseph couldn't shake the feeling of unease, Joseph acting disinterested politely declining the invitation, Joseph explained that he had other commitments to attend to and needed to get home. Sensing his reluctance, the bodyguard didn't persist, their expression not changing much.

Once outside the gym, Joseph hurried home, his thoughts consumed by the encounter with the enigmatic woman.

As he recounted the events of the day on his way home, Joseph couldn't shake the feeling of lingering unease that had plagued him since his encounter with the Japanese woman. And though he couldn't quite put his finger on. And if he had to put it into words, she felt like a fox, cunning and dangerous, hidden in plain sight.

As he walked toward the church, he noticed an increase people in the church, and the father of church, appieared people stopped there gosip, and looked at the father, waiting for the preach to begin, but after further notice, he realize that the father that came in front of him wasn't the regular one. And like Joseph, others also noticed that as well. And murmur starts to gain friction again. And as they were contemplating what's happening, the new father talked to the mice, informing them about the sudden death of father Robert Gray.

Joseph felt a sudden surprise, and he realised the reason behind the large gathering of the people, and the new father just announced that the church will hold a gathering in memory of late father Robert. And sensing the growing griff and unfamiliarity, he decided to leave and waited for an opportunity, which came when the father left the halt, and lit some candles around it.

He sencing his presence wasn't needed, and prayed by himself and left the church, and went to his house.

As Joseph stepped into their dimly lit home, a heavy silence hung in the air, broken only by the faint sound of Jemma's laughter echoing through the empty rooms. His heart sank as he caught sight of her sitting alone in the shadows, her laughter mixed with the unsettling sound of mumbling to no one in particular.

He watched Jemma, her form hunched over and her eyes vacant, lost in the depths of her own mind. The gloom that surrounded her seemed to seep into every corner of the room, casting a pall over their once warm and welcoming home.

Worry gnawed at Joseph's insides as he approached Jemma, his steps heavy with apprehension.

" Jemma, are you okay?" he asked softly, his voice barely above a whisper, afraid to disturb the fragile peace that hung in the air.

But Jemma's laughter continued unabated, her words mumbled and disjointed, her gaze unfocused and distant. The sight of her lost in the grip of her illness filled Joseph with a profound sense of helplessness and despair, as if the darkness that enveloped her had begun to consume him too.

As Joseph looked into Jemma's eyes, hoping for a glimmer of recognition, her gaze met his with a puzzled expression.

"Who are you?" she asked, her voice tinged with confusion.

Joseph felt his heart shatter into a million pieces at her words, the weight of her question like a dagger to his soul. The realization that she no longer knew who he was struck him like a physical blow, leaving him reeling with disbelief and despair.

With a heavy heart, Joseph rose from Jemma's side, his mind racing with fear and uncertainty. He knew he had to act fast, to get her the help she needed before it was too late.

Rushing towards the hospital, Joseph felt a sense of urgency driving him forward, his thoughts consumed by the grim reality of Jemma's condition. The weight of his worry pressed down on him like a suffocating blanket, threatening to crush him under its unbearable burden.

As he arrived at the hospital, Joseph wasted no time in seeking medical attention for Jemma, his hands trembling as he filled out the necessary paperwork. And as he waited anxiously for news of her condition, he couldn't help but pray for a miracle, a glimmer of hope to light the way through the darkness that threatened to consume them both..

As Joseph sat in the sterile hospital waiting room, every passing minute felt like an eternity. The weight of the doctor's words hung heavy in the air, a dark cloud looming over his already heavy heart.

Finally, the doctor emerged from Jemma's room, his expression grave as he motioned for Joseph to join him. With a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach, Joseph followed the doctor into the small examination room, bracing himself for the worst.

" Joseph , I'm afraid I have some difficult news," the doctor began, his voice gentle yet tinged with sadness. "Jemma's Alzheimer's has progressed significantly since her last visit. The recent tests have shown a marked deterioration in her cognitive function, and she's slowly losing her sense of normality."

Joseph remained silent, but his face showed it all. The reality of Jemma's condition hit him like a tidal wave, threatening to engulf him in a sea of despair.

"How... how much worse is it?" Joseph managed to choke out, his voice trembling with emotion, opposite of his muscular and dominating presence.

The doctor sighed heavily, his expression filled with empathy.

"I'm afraid it's difficult to predict the exact trajectory of the disease, but based on these results, it's clear that Jemma's condition is deteriorating rapidly. We'll need to discuss potential treatment options moving forward, but I want to prepare you for the possibility of increased care needs and additional support."

As the doctor spoke, Joseph felt a sense of numbness wash over him, the enormity of the situation too overwhelming to comprehend. But amidst the darkness, a flicker of determination ignited within him, a resolve to do whatever it took to support Jemma through the challenges that lay ahead. And seeing the doctor dabbling in words he decided to be straight forward.

"Doctor, is there anything... anything at all that can be done to stop this?" Joseph asked, his voice trembling with emotion. "A cure, a treatment—anything to give Jemma a fighting chance?"

The doctor sighed heavily, his expression reflecting the gravity of the situation.

"I understand your desire for a cure, Joseph, but I'm afraid Alzheimer's is a complex disease with no known cure at this time. Our focus is on managing the symptoms and providing the best possible care for Jemma."

Joseph felt a wave of frustration wash over him, the sense of helplessness threatening to overwhelm him. He couldn't bear the thought of watching Jemma's slip further and further away, her mind lost to the merciless grip of the disease.

But as he looked into the doctor's eyes, Joseph saw a glimmer of compassion and understanding.

"We're doing everything we can to support Jemma and your family through this difficult time," the doctor reassured him.

And as the doctor finished delivering the heartbreaking news, he offered Joseph a heartfelt apology, his voice tinged with genuine sympathy.

"I'm truly sorry, Joseph. I understand how difficult this must be for you and your family."

Then, the doctor offered a piece of advice that struck a raw nerve within Joseph .

"My advice to you would be to cherish the days you have with Jemma, to spend as much time together as possible," he said softly.

Joseph's initial reaction was one of incredulous anger. How dare the doctor suggest something so obvious, so patronizing? The fury boiled inside him, threatening to spill over, his clenched fists trembling with pent-up rage.

But as the doctor recoiled slightly, sensing Joseph's anger, he quickly stepped in to defuse the situation.

"I'm sorry if my words came across as insensitive," the doctor said hastily, his voice laced with concern.

"I only meant to offer support and guidance during this difficult time."

Joseph took a deep breath, struggling to rein in his anger. He knew the doctor meant well, but the overwhelming emotions swirling inside him threatened to cloud his judgment.

Finally, with great effort, Joseph managed to nod in acknowledgment, his fury gradually subsiding.

"Thank you, doctor," he muttered through gritted teeth, his voice strained with emotion.

As the tension in the room began to ease, the doctor offered Joseph a sympathetic smile.

"Remember, Mr Joseph, you're not alone in this. We're here to help in any way we can."

With a heavy heart, Joseph nodded, the weight of the doctor's words sinking in. Despite his initial anger, he calmed himself down and decided to met her.

As Joseph entered Jemma's hospital room, the sight of her sitting alone, her expression gloomy and withdrawn, pierced his heart like a dagger. He approached her slowly, his footsteps echoing in the silence of the room.

"Jemma," Joseph said softly, his voice tinged with concern as he reached out to gently touch her shoulder. "Are you okay?"

As Joseph held Jemma close, he sensed the distance between them, a heartbreaking reminder of the cruel grip Alzheimer's had on her mind. He watched as she struggled to find the right words, her thoughts scattered and disjointed.

Gently, Joseph reached out, brushing a stray lock of hair away from Jemma's face, his touch a tender reassurance amidst the chaos of her mind.

"It's okay, jemm," he murmured softly, his voice filled with love and understanding.

"You don't have to say anything. I'm here for you." And when he looked at her love, he didn't see the love he always saw, he saw confusion, and when he hugged herher.

"It's okay, Jemma," Joseph whispered softly, his voice trembling with emotion. "I'm here for you. I'll always be here for you." And like a switch flip, she recognized him . She clung to Joseph as if he were her lifeline, her heart heavy with the weight of her own mortality.

In that moment, Joseph felt a surge of determination wash over him. He would do whatever it took to help Jemma through this difficult time, and even if he has a day left, he's gonna live it to the fullest.

" Jemma! Let's go to paris. " and a smile bloomed in her gloomy face.

" Paris? Jemma is going paris? " she asked, looking all happy.

" Mr , are you really gonna take me to Paris? " That one word hit harder than any punch then he ever had, she has forgotten about him. He closed his eyes and tried to control his bubbling emotion coming from his heart and soul, he managed to grasp in tight , and nodded in affirmation.

" Yes, we are going to Paris. '' and as they were going home in his small SUV , Jemma's face was full of smiles and childlike demeanor, and seeing this, he couldn't look her in her eyes, and he tried to look as normal as possible. But he fell, his serious face and glowing eyes started to dim, and became glossy. And his grip became tighter and tighter, and his eyes showed a far away look of sadness. And Jemma remains unaware of his inner turmoil, and immerses in some fantasies that she only knows.

Joseph went to the upper eselone area of the city, and entered an area which screamed wealth. He stopped near a particular house for a moment, closing his eyes, and stayed in silence for some time, and then looked at jemma, who looked at the big house in front of them in confusion.

" Joss, where are we? " That name, that recognition gave him all hope that he needed.

" N-nothing.. " He said with a smile.
