chapter 2 - tour

His expression was completely different to anything Seojun saw before, making Seojun grin a little, though it was more of a sarcastic response than anything.

"And you think that someone'll be you?" Seojun asked, provokingly.

"We'll see, actions speak louder than words after all." Hyunwoo replied, right before swinging at Seojun, a blow directly to his stomach.

"Ugh!" Seojun coughed, thankfully stopping Hyunwoo's hand before it went any further, fuck, why is he so strong. He tightened his grip as he saw the other's mouth curl into a smile again, knowing immediately that wasn't the right move as Hyunwoo raised his other arm, stopping in mid-air.

"That's enough," Kei said before releasing Hyunwoo's hand.

"Really? Already?" Haneul said disappointedly as she walked in the office.

"..sorry," Hyunwoo apologised quietly.

"Just, show him around," Haneul sighed, grabbing her scarf before she and Kei left again.

 "Fine, let's go." Hyunwoo groaned.

The two went back to the first floor, walking side by side as Hyunwoo led Seojun to one of the doors they had seen when they first entered the building. "This is the training room." He said bluntly, waving for the two guards outside to open the door. "This bit is for weapons, the door there leads to a more specialised room, customised to fit whoever's ability." He said as he pointed to another door at the other end of the room.

The training room was like a gun range, there were targets set up on one side, but unlike a gun range, there wasn't a safety glass, or anything protective at all for that matter. There were collections of a variety of weapons on the right of the room, ranging from scalpels to pistols, even to different types of machine guns. An over-the-head light providing more than enough for a clear vision on the targets. The two walked over to the other door, pausing as Hyunwoo scanned a card, causing some sort of mechanism to turn in the room.

"Oh right, you don't have your card yet," Hyunwoo looked at Seojun, "based on your personal details, well mainly your ability, the room changes to accommodate that."

"So now it's specialised to your ability?"

"Yeah."

"Then can you finally show me?" Seojun asked.

"...well, why don't you take a guess first?" Hyunwoo grinned as he opened the door. It was practically full on pitch-black inside as he shut the door behind them. Seojun wasn't able to see anything until his eyes adjusted to the darkness, causing him to gasp.

"What is that!?" He said, surprised. On the other end of the smallish room stood a… strange looking creature. It had 3 heads, all giant compared to its thin, frail body, sticking out with a glowing eye on each, its golden colour lighting up one corner of the room. Its mouth was in the middle of its head, one that looked like it belonged on a creepy doll, personalised with rotten upper teeth and non-existent bottom.

"Calm down, it's just a display." Hyunwoo said calmly, pointing to a projector-like object by the creature. "Be quiet for a bit." He said to Seojun before picking up a pair of glasses sat on a table. To Seojun, it looked like he pressed on air before a small scalpel spawned in his hand, making him raise his eyebrow out of curiosity. Hyunwoo observed the creature for a few seconds before dashing towards it, a quick turn causing him to end up behind the creature, as the creature slowly turned its head, he wasted no time slicing down the 'spine' with the scalpel, the illusion disappearing right after. Hyunwoo took the glasses off as the scalper glowed blue before disappearing too.

"Training stage 224 complete. Would you like to see the leaderboard?" A female robotic voice called into the room.

"No need," Hyunwoo replied.

"Very well. The light will turn on soon."

"What was that?"

"The special mechanism? Hmm.. basically a system sort of thing," Hyunwoo explained half-mindedly.

"Are you on the leaderboard? Mr stage 224?" Seojun asked playfully.

"Oh my bad did you want to see?" Hyunwoo asked, smugly.

"It's fine, I'll see it when I beat you anyway." Seojun smiled confidently.

"Alright, next destination then!"

Hyunwoo took Seojun to a few other floors and rooms, but they were all the same, basically all offices or some sort of training room or a lounge. There were a few memorable ones, maybe because they belonged to those higher up the organisation; to those who were in the executive meeting that was going on now. Still, he was surprised Hyunwoo could just enter any room as he pleased, though he may be taking advantage of the fact they're all in a meeting.

One of the offices was filled with computers, seriously, filled. There was no light apart from the on/off button from monitors, on the ground, on the desk, practically everywhere possible, the wires wrapped around the room was almost creepy, in the middle of it sat a lone chair, right in the centre of the room. Another office was more like an art studio, with pictures hung up on every inch of the wall; some of paintings, others of photography, as well as clothing and architectural designs, there was even a canvas by the desk. And lastly, there was a room that was being set up, a girl about 16 years old instructing the moving men where to put some furniture, a clipboard in her hand which contained a sketch of the room. Her long black hair followed as she turned her head, a pair of shy hazel eyes meeting the two, smiling at Hyunwoo as she waved a little.

"You know her?" Seojun asked.

"Yeah, she joined not too long ago, given that she's just a kid I felt like I needed to look after her, since I have a younger sister at home." Hyunwoo explained. "What about you? Any siblings?"

"Yeah, a younger brother and younger sister."

"Who would've thought you're the oldest huh," Hyunwoo smirked, "is this you going through a rebellious phase as the older brother?" He teased.

"...you need to learn when to stop talking." Seojun replied blankly.

"Boring~" Hyunwoo joked. "Well, they should be done by now," he said, looking at his watch. "You should go home for the day."

"Huh? Alright." Seojun said as he headed towards the exit, to the outside world drowning in the afternoon sunlight, turning around just before he left.

Hyunwoo looked at him with a smile, one hand behind as another waved to Seojun, "see you tomorrow," he mouthed.

He couldn't help but feel as if Hyunwoo had told him to go home on purpose, as if to avoid something. But still, he didn't really care.

"Oh Hyung you're back, Jia said she wanted help with something," Kang Seungcheol said as Seojun opened the front door. His younger brother had an appearance similar to his, their black hair only separated by the difference in style, but their eyes the same shade of green. This was also the case for the younger sister, Kang Jia.

The 16 year old girl grumbled to herself as she stared at her laptop screen, so in thought she didn't hear Seojun opening the door.

"Cheol said you needed help?" Seojun asked, leaning against his sister's door frame.

"..stop posing and come here," Jia said harshly.

Seojun laughed before sitting down beside her, "which bit?"

"What do you mean you let him go home?" Haneul asked with a confused look on her face.

"Well I showed him around, it's not like there was anything for him to do today anyway," Hyunwoo shrugged.

"...you have got to be joking," Haneul sighed, flopping onto her chair, "he was supposed to go with Yuu today."

"For that?"

"Yes," Haneul nodded.

"...are you crazy? We don't even know what he can do yet, there's no way it'd safe for him."

"That's exactly why and since when do you care if something's safe for someone?" the girl asked tiredly, sending a text on her phone. She paused as she looked up at Hyunwoo, "you, don't tell me, you like him?"

"You're crazy and an idiot huh, how did someone as delusional as you skip 3 grades will be beyond me," Hyunwoo said, shaking his head in disapproval.

"..no need to be mean about it," she said, pulling herself up.

"That thing with Yuu, I can go if you want." Hyunwoo offered.

"Mm.. you going would be useless," Haneul replied, "besides I've already got him set up with someone else, go home for today."
