Emery felt like throwing a tantrum. But she didn't. Cause she wouldn't.( Of course she wouldn't. She's a big girl after all.) Without a word she turned around once again( At this point she has most probably turned around more times than a merry-go-round) to continue walking.

After she had come a fair distance away from the (destroyed. She was too heartbroken to say.) cafe the sound of sirens going off reached her ears. With the typical blue and red lights , police cars blocked off the entire place to keep people away from the sight and to also keep any dangerous people from escaping the area. Which also meant that currently Emery could not leave the premises.

A helplessness sweeped its way all throughout her body. This had been one of the most stressful weeks of her life. Never had she ever had to go through this many traumatizing moments in such little time. And the most funny thing was she had only been out of her home for only two of the seven days in a week. Just how bad were her odds for her life to turn upside down like this, this quickly!? If there was an intact wall near her she would have already started beating her head against it by now.

Emery was sitting on a block of concrete thrown in the middle of the road from the explosion that took place. She had her head in her hands looking completely devastated. Only a mind reader could know that she was currently busy thinking about all the chocolate cakes and cups of hot chocolate she could have eaten if she was still at the cafe and it hadn't been blown off.

Halfway through her journey through dreamland someone came out of nowhere and geld her shoulders, forcefully turning her around towards them. It took Emery a second to snap out of her depressed state and she couldn't have been as surprised.

Turning around what greeted her sight was a man with fiery orangish red hair in a crew cut, tan skin that looked like melted chocolate and deep brown eyes. The person carried a worried look on their face while keeping a hopeful look in their eyes. This body posture particularly spelled the word relief. There was something about the man that Emery could not explain.

Before she could dig more into this feeling the man, without a word, hugged her tight till she could feel her lungs going on a strike. In the man's hold all Emery could do was stare and blink waiting for him to let go.

The both of them stood? Sat? Did something in that position for a long 5 seconds before the man finally let her go. As the MN was moving away from her Emery for a second thought that his eyes seemed a little bit moist but she chalked it up to the work of light.

The man now had a soft smile on his face and looked at her expectantly. Emery blinked as she returned his gaze. He looked at her. She looked at him. He looked at her. She looked at him. He looked at- ((╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ ) ( Can you two just stop looking at each other and let the story continue!?)

Emery continued to stay silent. She still had no clue as to what was actually going on here. The more the silence prolonged the more the smiling face of the man turned to one of annoyance before quickly turning to one of a frown.

After a whole 2 minutes of Conti this absurd contest the man released his hands that were still holding onto her shoulders and sighed with gritted teeth. Looking at her this time his eyes hosted a sharp look. His expression right now was very unpleasant.

With a veil popping the man mumbled under his breath. " Now what are you playing at!?" Even though she could not hear his words Emery could tell apart the suppressed rage, disappointment and a hint of disapproval in the man's tone.

Now it was Emery's turn to frown. Frustrated, she gave out a sigh. If she had a dollar for everytime she sighed this week she would have already had enough to buy an entire series. ' Really. This week just keeps getting weirder and weirder. '

Emery felt like pulling her hair out. First she had a dry phase and couldn't write anything, then she had to travel by a train and get choked while at it! After that some idiot decided to blow up her favorite bookstore and somehow managed to also blow up her favorite cafe on the. Same. Exact. Day!!!!!!

And just when she thought that things couldn't get worse this weirdo just had to come and make things even more confusing. Like what the heck was happening to the world!?!?!!? ( Oh nothing much. Just some nerd getting bored in class and deciding to write a story in which you just so happened to be the main character. ╮(╯_╰)╭)
