Chapter Ten: Orpheus Pendragon

As Raymond attentively listened to Orpheus' words, he couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder and disbelief wash over him. The vampire his father had spoken of for years stood before him, and Raymond was amazed by the details of his appearance. Orpheus was tall and imposing, with piercing eyes that seemed to look right through him. His skin was pale and flawless, and his hair was jet-black and slicked back, giving him an air of sophistication and mystery.

Despite his shock and disbelief, Raymond was fascinated by Orpheus' words and felt privileged to be in the presence of such a powerful being. It was as if he had been transported to a whole new world, one that was filled with magic, mystery, and danger. Raymond vividly remembers his father telling him about Orpheus Pendragon. The creature was said to be a being of great power and terrifying beauty, but also a creature of darkness and abomination. Half-vampire, half-wolf, Orpheus was the result of a crazy experiment between science and Blackmagic.

His imposing figure, with long, sharp claws and razor-sharp teeth, was said to strike fear into the hearts of all who encountered him. But it was his piercing eyes that were the most unnerving - eyes that seemed to bore into Raymond's very soul as he listened to the story. It was said that those who met Orpheus were never the same again, their minds and bodies forever scarred by the encounter.

As Raymond stood there, he couldn't help but feel a certain energy emanating from the creature before him. Its presence was palpable, almost tangible, and it was hard not to feel a sense of reverence for a being who had lived for centuries and had seen the world change in ways that Raymond could never imagine. The creature's eyes seemed to hold a depth of knowledge and experience that was both humbling and awe-inspiring. Despite his fear and uncertainty, Raymond couldn't help but feel a sense of curiosity and fascination with this remarkable being, wondering what secrets he held and what wisdom he could impart.

Raymond stood before Orpheus, his lord, and bowed his head respectfully. "My Lord," he said.

Orpheus, looked at him with piercing eyes. "Raise," he commanded. "It took Danny and i centuries to reach here, and we haven't had blood for a while. Is there any here?"

Raymond nodded silently and went to the winery to retrieve a bottle.

As Raymond returned, Danny spoke up. "Isn't that wine?" he asked, eyeing the bottle warily.

Raymond shook his head. "No, it's not," he replied. "We can't have blood around here because of inspection. We could get thrown in jail."

He opened the bottle and poured the crimson liquid into glasses. As they were about to savor the metallic scent of the blood, they perceived the smell of wine instead.

"Why does it smell like wine?" Orpheus asked as he picked up his glass.

Raymond explained, "It's to avoid suspicion. If the cops smell blood instead of wine, we could get arrested."

The minute they took a sip their eyes turned to the darkest shade of red.
