Chapter Sixty-three: Spell.

Orpheus's eyes fluttered open to find himself in a colorless, endless void. The air felt heavy, like silence had weight. He rubbed his temples and muttered, "Where the hell am I?"

A voice broke the stillness. "You're in the Void."

Orpheus spun around to see Dylan, his wolf, standing calmly nearby. Relief mixed with confusion as he stared at the creature. "Dylan? You're here too?"

Dylan tilted his head, his voice steady. "Of course. We're connected, remember? What happens to you happens to me."

Orpheus's expression darkened. "Then what the hell happened to us?"

Dylan's gaze shifted. "We were cast out of our body."

"Cast out?" Orpheus's fists clenched. "By who? How? And why?"

"I don't know who," Dylan said evenly, "but I think it happened during the eclipse."
