It was a pretty sunny Sunday.
I woke up feeling quite better, the rays of sunshine right to my eyes and the curtains dividing the rays with its shadow.
I turn my head slightly to the opposite side then pat gently unto the violet duvet, the pillow underneath almost lifeless.
I turn back completely, then turn my neck to the other side almost completely with a slight body movement but I see that it was just a pillow.
I lay my head back down on the pillow then give a sigh.
After ten minutes, I go downstairs then meet Mom and Alice, both busy with their own things. I give a smile then say.
"Its one fancy morning eh"
"Oh!!, Potato, I never expected you
to wake up early, I wanted to make
a fancy breakfast suprise then Alice
offered to help, isn't she a darling ?"
I frown "Oh do I feel embarrassed
when you call me a potato".
Ally smiles "Of course, it's a Fancy
Sunday".
Soon enough, we are on the dining table.
Ally, eating sausages. Mum, busy with croissant in her mouth while pouring juice.
While I popped crackers into my mouth one after another.
The munching sounds are finally conquered when Mum speaks.
" Alice, why don't you tell us a bit about
Your new science project".
Well, if i would talk about science, Alice is one pro, I am just smarter when it comes to real life things. I mean she's that silly type.
She has got more than three scientific competition awards.
At times, I really wonder about how she knows all that.
"Recently, I've made some research on
virus, Its a submicroscopic infectious
agent which replicates only inside the....."
Ally explains. I see that Mom feels a bit
dumbfounded so I retaliate.
"That's the type of speech you would give
In a presentation..., well.. at least, Maybe it was a bit too much".
I go in for a bath, then in the evening, we all went to the park and swim, dance and do all sort of things.
Alice's mum comes to pick her because... of course, we're resuming after months of holiday.
I wake up early the next day and didn't have breakfast, I catch the morning bus and smile seeing the rays of sunshine, bright trees, a perfect Summer.
I arrive at St. Claires and breath a sigh of relief.
"St. Claires, good to see you again"
I get in and see all others busy with their things but my attention especially goes to Katelyn McKenzie, the one and only.
She is wearing a tight long sleeve shirt with a black skirt that cant be up to her knee if doubled, her blazer was lying on the chair and i give an eye roll after seeing her.
Suddenly, I feel a tap on the shoulder which makes my cower, and it was Alice.
"Hey there".
"You scared me".
"What's wrong"
I feel my lips giving a feeling of disgust while looking at Katelyn and i sit on my chair, Ally looks at her then smiles.
"Her!!, like you're new in this classroom".
Mrs Anderson comes in and then everyone goes to their seats.
"Katelyn McKenzie, back to your seat!, I wonder if you would remember to wear a skirt tommorow, I mean knee-lenght, grey coloured or you might prefer me getting something from the lost-and-found property cupboard for you".
"No thanks, Mrs."
We end the lesson with an announcement.
"I hope you know that year nine, ten and eleven are having a kind of parent-student programme. It's been sent to your parent and is happening next month, it's been announced before the holiday so we've got just three weeks left, Whatever suggestions you have or thing you really want to do on that day should be told to Miss White, I'm leaving now, I do not want any noise coming, please". Mrs Anderson then leaves.
I leave the classroom for the restroom to have a quiet time of mine because of course....the classroom is boiling with noise.
Rev. Darren came into the classroom after break, No one seriously enjoys his lesson, he teaches prayer, shouts for repentance, says everyone must pray and whenever a student misbehave, he is sent to Rev. Darren for two hours of continuous prayer and one week of repentance discussion.
After the lesson, Jake Jackson says.
" Listening to a discussion like that really
takes a big heart ".
Amy Baker also says.
"No one would ever imagine lessons
like this actually existed ".
"By the way, how are we taking on with
the parent - student programme, I really
don't want my parents at such a silly
event, not where most teachers have
lost it".
Priscillia Cynetz shrugs.
"Not when you can actually keep your
parents from knowing ".
" Not when there's something called parent
mail ". Mickey Bowlin replies sarcastically
" Not when you can actually delete it".
She replies back.
The bell goes and I pack my bags waiting for Alice, not like I actually want my mom or Grandparents to come, not when Grandad arrives with his catsuit with a print of Juckrus a famous musician he is obsessed with, or Grandma with a long gown, knitting a scarf, she tends to forget things easily, the doctor says her case is like that of Alzhemiers but surprisingly, she doesn't have it.
I really want no one thinking about the weirdo with a pale mom, A Juckrus grandad and knitting grandma.
Everyone staring at me and pointing me out, me trying to ignore the comments and thinking about how good it would be if Parent's night never existed.
Alice comes and then we go through the hallway, down the stairs and keep walking with other student pushing through, after a while we are outside then in the bus then, off we went.
