I don't plan to die just yet [Scouting dungeon S-45]

The next morning came, and Kim was already wide awake doing his regular morning routine. First, he'd clean the whole house and get breakfast ready for this lil sister so she can head out to school.

"Here you go." Kim stretched the lunch box towards Rapheal while she was busy trying to wear her shoes in front of the door.

"Thank you .." Raphael smiled, taking her lunch box from her brother's grasp, "Oowwww, you made sandwiches! Hehe." She giggled.

"Yeah, have fun at school and remember to head home immediately after you're done. If you notice an instant gate open up, I want you to-"

"Yes yes, hide and wait for a Hunters to show up, geez, you're such a worrywort. I'll be fine, besides, if I get into trouble my brother could always just come save me." Raphael teased with a grin and her body leaned forward.

"Sigh! Just make sure you come home early, and if you're going to visit aunt, stay with her so I'll pick you up there once I'm done".

"Hai hai! I'm out!" With that, Raphael ran out the door, meeting up with her two friends who were waiting for her outside.

"Now then…" A serious expression played on Kim's face, he knew what was going to come next after taking care of his sister's needs.

It was time to work for yet another daily earning as a hunter.

Getting himself ready for the day, Kim grabbed his bag and headed out, his destination was the main point where every Hunter made their living or rather, searched for their living.

All around the city of Hammond were multiple branches of the Hunter association. It's an association dedicated to helping Hunters reach their potential peak without the need to do it all by themselves. The bank, the guilds, even The Hunter academy for newbies were all under the Hunters association.

Standing in front of one of the branches, Kim took a deep breath. All around him were high class to even newbie Hunters, trying to either register their party, or get info on any dungeon that has not been cleared.

"You can do this…" Kim spoke to himself before taking a step forward and walking inside the building.

Upon reaching inside, Kim noticed there was a huge amount of people surrounding one part of the area, as though they were all focused on something.

'Did an S rank Hunter walk in?' Kim thought to himself, but immediately, he shook his head, 'No, Not now, you don't have time to be meddling in others' business'.

Turning his gaze towards the wall not too far from him, he noticed the papers and flyers that had been set up on the board there. With a sigh, he moved closer, ready to begin his search for the day's job.

The board held information on the latest dungeon that needed to be cleared but even this was divided into three sections. First was the unexplored dungeons, these were new dungeons that needed to be explored and reported to the Hunters association so a new team could be sent to clear them.

These teams were called The Scout, and mostly were a group of 6, with about two healers and at least 2 other Assassins to help when things got tough.

And the second was for Hunters willing to raid and clear the already explored dungeons; these were mostly carried out by high class Hunters depending on the class of the dungeons. And the third were mostly the rescue team, they helped as back up.

Kim, with his unique ability to analyze anything within reach, had always carried on the scouting part of the job. Not only does he not need to battle or kill any boss, but he also gets to use his skill.

"Dungeon S-45…. Middlesbrough," Kim read out loud, staring at the flyer, "This might do it, doesn't seem too far from here too… that said, I just need to find a team".

Heading back to the counter, he pulled out his Hunter ID card and placed it there before speaking, "Dungeon S-45, scout team".

The receptionist picked up the Identification card and read it, "An E Rank Hunter Eii, you're in luck, An C Rank Hunter was looking for a team to raid the same dungeon".

'C Rank?'.

"Sir John, someone is willing to join the Scout party!!!" The receptionist yelled, as if trying to reach out to someone.

Kim turned his gaze towards the same direction and there he saw him, a young man dressed in a golden armor. He had long blonde hair with majestic blue eyes. The scar on the left side of this face made him look even more of a Hunter.

Behind him were five other hunters who looked at though they were just starting too.

'He's a C Rank and has this type of equipment on? … Sigh! That's insane, I guess that explains why people were fascinated earlier.' Kim thought to himself as the C Rank Hunter approached him.

"AHH, Are you the one willing to join my team? Hi, the name is John Lewis, C rank." The C Rank Hunter spoke, stretching his hand towards Kim to shake.

Without hesitation, Kim shaked him too, "Kim Jung." He replied.

The moment his hand touched the armor on John's hand, he began analyzing every information about it.

'Durability is high, quality is also the same, it also seems to have additional skills and buffs embedded inside it.' Kim sighed, 'It's the real deal'.

"So, what rank are you?" John asked.

"Uhmm, E rank."

"I see, the rest are about the same rank as you, so don't worry, I'll keep you all safe and sound, that's a promise." John smiled, facing the receptionist so he could register the party and then move on.

'About the same rank as me he said…' Kim turned his gaze towards his soon to be party members, 'They look even younger than me'.

"Okayyyyy! We are officially a party people! Let's do this!" John rested his arms on Kim's neck, "We are going to scout, and if we are lucky… We might even defeat the boss".

'That's a big if. If that option ever presents itself to me… I'm sorry, but I don't plan to die just yet.' Whispered Kim to himself.
