[252] JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Premieres! (14)

Chapter 252: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Premieres! (14)

As they watched the movie, the audience's eyes filled with panic—they hadn't expected the vampire-transformed Dio to be this powerful. Jonathan was clearly no match for him.

Before they could process the situation further, the movie's plot quickly advanced.

"Jojo! Let me revel in this power a little longer! Even I don't know the full extent of my strength!"

After knocking Jonathan down in an instant, Dio let out a mocking laugh. But then, he suddenly realized—Jonathan, who had been lying on the ground just moments ago, had vanished without a trace.

"Hiding, are you? It's useless. Didn't I say it before? The more humans rely on schemes, the more they'll realize their own limits. Stop struggling in vain!"

With that, Dio strode forward confidently—only for a sudden burst of flames to erupt before him, engulfing his body.

"This isn't a scheme—it's courage!"

Beyond the flames, Jonathan stood alongside Speedwagon, watching as Dio was consumed by fire. But to their shock, even as the flames licked at his body, Dio remained unharmed. His flesh, though scorched, regenerated at an astonishing speed.

Realizing the danger, Jonathan resolutely pushed Speedwagon out of the mansion, choosing to remain in the inferno to confront Dio alone.

Using a fallen longsword as a foothold, he leaped up and grasped a beam on the second floor, then turned to shout at Dio:

"Dio, I will never allow you and your power to exist in this world!"

"Hah, so you're trying to distract me from your companion and lure me upstairs? Very well—I'll drain your life to heal my burns!"

With that, Dio placed a foot against the wall and began walking up as if it were solid ground, completely unfazed by the raging fire around him.

And so, the chase began—one fleeing, the other pursuing—until they reached a perilous height.

"Useless, useless, useless, useless! No matter how high we go, I won't be harmed even if I jump! The one being cornered by fire and height… is you!"

As Dio advanced leisurely, Jonathan cast a glance at his father's body, now consumed by flames. Taking a deep breath, he raised his voice and declared:

"Father, my heart aches… Please ascend to heaven through these flames. And… grant this fire the strength I need for what comes next!"

There was no doubt—an intense battle was about to erupt within the blazing inferno!

...

The tension in the movie had reached an unimaginable peak. Even those who had seen the film before couldn't help but feel a surge of anxiety as they watched.

After all, in past films, the only one that had delivered this level of intensity was Goblin Slayer. But even in Goblin Slayer, the gap in strength between the protagonists and their enemies was never as overwhelming as it was in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

A battle between an ordinary human and a vampire—no matter how one looked at it, Jonathan had no chance of victory.

And yet, despite the sheer hopelessness of the situation, most of the audience did not feel despair. On the contrary, as Jonathan's body began to shine with a radiant light, everyone watching felt a deep, instinctive belief that victory was possible.

Many struggled to understand why they felt this way. But a few knew the answer—what Jonathan was displaying at this very moment was the courage of humanity!

...

"He's coming!"

In the movie, Jonathan desperately fled to the rooftop, his eyes fixed nervously on the eaves below.

Sure enough, in the very next moment, the roof behind him suddenly shattered. With a thunderous WRYYYYYYYY, Dio lunged at Jonathan with a ferocious assault!

"Boom!"

Against the overwhelming power of a vampire, Jonathan had no chance to retaliate. He was sent flying in an instant.

"Too weak. Far too weak."

Faced with Dio's sheer might, Jonathan recalled their past—his youth, forever entwined with Dio's. He clenched his fists and declared:

"My youth has always been tied to Dio. And now, I will bring it to an end!"

With that, he threw his arms around Dio, locking him in an unbreakable grip, and together they plummeted from the rooftop—straight into the raging inferno below!

Witnessing everything, Speedwagon narrated each detail with breathless intensity, his voice trembling with emotion. Then, unable to contain himself, he shouted:

"No—!"

Amidst the flames, Dio stared in disbelief at Jonathan, who was willing to perish with him. His fury erupted:

"You… You dare do this?!"

"The mansion is already in ruins. My father is gone. I've lost everything—except this life of mine. So let me burn alongside you! In exchange, Dio, I will seal away your power forever!"

Jonathan's desperate final strike sent a chill through the air, but Dio's lips curled into a cruel smirk.

Grabbing onto the mansion's crumbling wall, he suddenly drove a powerful kick into Jonathan's chest, launching him away.

"Farewell, JoJo! For a fleeting moment, your resolve almost moved me. You should be grateful—you'll die right next to your father, you fool!"

"I have transcended humanity! Immortal, ageless, eternal—I will rule this world! JoJo, this is the power you have given me!"

In response to Dio's taunts, the falling JoJo suddenly grabbed onto an iron spike protruding from the wall. With astonishing physical strength, he flipped himself upward in one swift motion—before wrapping his belt tightly around Dio's leg!

"I'm back, Dio!"

"What?! You… You bastard!"

"This time, I won't let go! Dio, your fate ends here! This knife—this is the very blade you stabbed into my father's body. So…"

With that, Jonathan plunged the knife deep into Dio's flesh, locking him in an unrelenting grip.

Dio let out a howl of pain, his voice laced with disbelief.

"You… Your hands! I already crushed your bones! Your body is on fire! How can you still have this much strength?!"

His expression twisted into a mix of rage and admiration as he hissed:

"Fine! Then let's burn together in this inferno! But mark my words—the only one dying here is you! No matter how fierce the flames, I will escape!"

"Father, grant me your final strength!"

Jonathan's desperate cry seemed to shake the very heavens. Then, with a powerful kick against the wall, he launched Dio's body straight toward the grand statue in the center of the hall—impaling him upon it.

"AAAAAAAAHHHHH! YOU DARE! YOU DARE!!!!"

Dio's agonized screams filled the burning mansion. In that moment, he was forced to recall something—Jonathan's sheer explosive strength, the unyielding spirit that never faltered, even in the face of death itself!

"JoJo… It… It wasn't supposed to be like this! My life…!"

With that final, wretched cry, Dio's body was consumed by the fire, crumbling into ashes.

The next instant, the force of the inferno sent Jonathan hurtling out of the collapsing mansion—straight into Speedwagon's arms.

Feeling Jonathan's faint yet steady breath, Speedwagon trembled with emotion. Tears streamed down his face as he choked out:

"He's alive! You're alive! This man… He won!!!"
