Chapter 257: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Premieres! (19)
The pace of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure suddenly accelerated.
Facing two of Dio's powerful subordinates, Jonathan was forced to fight alone.
Zeppeli tried his best to assist, but his frozen arm prevented him from channeling Ripple energy, rendering him unable to fight.
In this dire situation, Speedwagon stepped forward without hesitation, using his own body to warm Zeppeli.
Meanwhile, Jonathan faced off against two formidable vampires alone. One was the Black Knight Bruford, who could use his hair to ensnare opponents and drain their blood. The other was Tarkus, wielding an unimaginably massive greatsword. Their overwhelming strength left Jonathan struggling to fight back, and he was soon on the verge of defeat.
At this critical moment, Jonathan, driven by his indomitable will, forcefully broke free from Tarkus's grip using Ripple energy.
Moved by Jonathan's unwavering resolve, Bruford unexpectedly requested a one-on-one duel with him, seeking Dio's permission.
Everyone was astonished by the Black Knight's sense of honor and respect for strength.
Thus, the duel between the two began. Their battle was fierce, escalating from the mountainside into a nearby lake.
Underwater, Jonathan found himself unable to breathe, preventing him from using the Ripple breathing technique. Zeppeli attempted to help, but Tarkus blocked his way.
Beneath the lake, Jonathan and Bruford faced each other, both watching their opponent with intense vigilance.
However, Jonathan was at a clear disadvantage—he couldn't breathe underwater, making it impossible to generate Ripple energy.
In this desperate situation, rather than swimming toward the surface, Jonathan unexpectedly dove deeper toward the lakebed.
He recalled the unique geological features of Wind Knight's Lot—a mountainous village with unstable terrain, where frequent seismic activity caused shifts in the earth.
Because of this, he reasoned that pockets of trapped air must exist within the rocks at the bottom of the lake.
Using this knowledge, Jonathan successfully extracted a small amount of air and, capitalizing on the Ripple's ability to travel through water, immediately unleashed his attack.
"Turquoise Blue Overdrive!"
Expecting this strike to defeat his enemy, Jonathan was taken aback—Bruford had managed to propel himself out of the lakebed at the exact same speed as the Ripple's transmission. As a result, the attack only grazed his forehead.
Feeling the strength of Jonathan's spirit, Bruford's excitement soared. He launched a relentless assault, successfully using his hair to bind Jonathan against a nearby tree.
With his opponent immobilized, Bruford decisively raised his longsword, ready to deliver the final blow.
But in that moment of crisis, Jonathan executed a swift kick against the blade, channeling the Ripple through it—instantly melting Bruford's right arm.
"Silver Overdrive!"
At last, having fully mastered the Ripple, Jonathan ignited every ounce of his blood with energy. With a furious roar, he charged forward, shouting:
"Golden Overdrive!"
Blow after blow, driven by sheer determination, Jonathan relentlessly struck down his formidable foe.
His overwhelming fighting spirit left everyone in awe.
Yet, Bruford refused to surrender completely. Even though he had been defeated in name, he still charged forward with all his might. Jonathan, however, stood motionless, making no effort to evade—almost as if he had given up resisting.
"What…?"
Just as Bruford was about to strike, he suddenly stopped in his tracks. His body, which had been tainted by vampirism, now glowed with a faint crimson light, and beneath his feet, flowers—symbols of life—began to bloom.
At last, with his soul finally at peace, Bruford accepted his fate. As a final gesture, he offered Jonathan his cherished sword—a blade that once symbolized luck. Renaming it the Sword of Courage, he entrusted it to the young warrior.
Jonathan, though victorious, could not help but feel sorrowful. He regretted having to strike down a warrior as honorable as Bruford.
But before he could fully process his emotions, a shadow loomed over him.
Tarkus had stepped forward. Without hesitation, he brutally stomped on Bruford, crushing him beneath his foot.
There was no doubt—another fierce battle was about to begin.

Inside Theaters Everywhere
The battles in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure delivered an unprecedented level of tension to audiences. At the same time, the film exuded a distinct and unique style that set it apart.
Unlike other movies, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure heavily utilized time-stopping monologues, where each character's inner thoughts were explored in meticulous detail.
While this approach slowed the pace of battle, it also enriched the depth of every character. Even seemingly minor or insignificant figures left a lasting impression on the audience.
Now, as Jonathan prepared to face yet another intense battle, the entire theater was gripped with anticipation, their excitement and nervousness rising once again.
...
Jonathan was completely outmatched against the monstrous Tarkus. If not for Zeppeli's timely intervention, he would have been doomed.
Using the power of the Ripple, Zeppeli transformed leaves into a makeshift glider, carrying the group toward the other side of the cliff.
Everyone was stunned by the incredible versatility of the Ripple, marveling at its seemingly limitless potential. At that moment, Zeppeli found himself reminiscing about his past.
Years ago, after surviving a shipwreck, he had wandered into a harbor where he encountered a strange man—ragged in appearance yet claiming to be a doctor. This mysterious figure used the power of the Ripple to heal Zeppeli's wounds.
It was through him that Zeppeli learned of a sacred place where Ripple training was taught. There, he met an enigmatic old master, Tonpetty.
The master, using the power of the Ripple, foresaw Zeppeli's future and warned him: if he chose to walk the path of the Ripple, he would be bound by the fate of death.
Yet, even knowing his destiny, Zeppeli had no regrets. He chose to master the Ripple, fully prepared to embrace whatever fate awaited him.
Back in the present, the group believed they had successfully escaped Tarkus's grasp—only to realize, to their horror, that he was still relentlessly pursuing them. Even after plummeting off a cliff, he remained completely unscathed, continuing his relentless chase.
As they fled, they unknowingly stumbled into a sinister place. Suddenly, Jonathan was yanked downward by a chain, plummeting into a chamber—where he found himself face-to-face with Tarkus once again.
At that moment, Tarkus revealed the name of their location: the Chamber of the Twin-Headed Dragon—a battleground for Chain Collar Deathmatches.
Both Jonathan and Tarkus had iron collars locked around their necks, each linked to the walls by heavy chains. The key to their chains was attached to their opponent's collar.
This meant there was only one way to survive—defeat the other and take the key.
However, Jonathan was at a severe disadvantage. With the chain constricting his throat, he couldn't breathe—making it impossible to use the Ripple.
Within moments, he found himself on the brink of death.
Outside the chamber, Zeppeli and Speedwagon frantically struggled to open the massive iron door, desperate to aid Jonathan. But no matter how hard they tried, the steel gate refused to budge.
At that moment, the young boy who had been following them—Poco—found himself in the midst of an intense internal struggle. Fear and doubt gripped his heart, but deep down, he knew he couldn't stand by and do nothing.
Summoning his courage, Poco made his decision. Ignoring Zeppeli and Speedwagon's protests, he crawled into a narrow pipe running along the side of the chamber.
He knew the risk, but he had no choice. If these terrifying monsters weren't stopped, his village would be doomed.
Determined to help Jonathan, he pressed forward—undaunted by the darkness and the dangers ahead!
