Carson Flores's heart skipped a beat as he instinctively slammed his eyes shut, his heart thudding wildly.

Although he had spent a lot of time with her and knew her quite well by now, it was normal for a woman to get angry over such matters after all.
More importantly, she had now completed her resurrection; if she really decided to burn bridges and kill him, it probably wouldn't make any difference to her.

The sound of water coming from the basin indicated that Cristopher Hopkins Immortal had risen from the basin and then left it.
Carson Flores didn't dare to open his eyes, fearing he might see something he shouldn't.
