In a cafe beneath a business district building.
Dong Jing looked at Zhou Shiran with a guarded expression. "What exactly do you want from me?"
"Collaboration," Zhou Shiran said with a smile.
"I don't think we have anything to collaborate on; it seems I was wrong to come here." Dong Jing stood up, ready to leave.
Zhou Shiran smiled calmly. "I haven't even revealed my identity yet. How can you be so sure we have nothing to discuss? There's no harm in waiting a bit longer."
Dong Jing placed her purse back down. "Go ahead."
"I'm An Ning's stepmother," Zhou Shiran declared her identity.
Dong Jing was taken aback; this was indeed...unexpected. "So what?"
"You are that boy's biological mother. I suppose you must want to marry Yu Jingchen, right?" Zhou Shiran asked further.
Dong Jing looked at her, puzzled. "Do you have a way?"
"I know about a past of An Ning that no one else knows, something she certainly hasn't told Yu Jingchen," Zhou Shiran said mysteriously.
"Out with it."
