Chapter 12 :- "What on earth is this…"

As the Lu Yu system was initiated.

....

Within the confines of the university classroom, a sense of bewilderment permeated the air.

"What is transpiring here…"

Booom!

The male students were visibly shaken, as if a subdued clap of thunder had caught them off guard.

"No way, this can't be happening…"

"Could this signify the apocalypse?"

"Strange, my phone has no service."

"I'm experiencing the same issue; the signal's gone."

A collective sense of unease spread as each student inspected their mobile device, only to discover a unanimous lack of connectivity.

Suddenly, a chilling sensation coursed through everyone, as if their very bones were encased in ice.

"Ahhh, what was that chilling sensation just now?"

"It's unbearably cold… I'm struggling to breathe!"

The majority of the room appeared to be in distress, with labored breathing and signs of collapse.

Some couldn't even maintain their stance, tumbling to the ground.

A few of the more physically vulnerable boys suffered nosebleeds that seemed relentless.

In the midst of the chaos, Chu Feng's roommate, Li Bin, had an epiphany.

Staring at his inoperable phone, his voice quivered with fear.

"A cosmic storm… that's what it must be!"

"The very cosmic storm Chu Feng warned us about, let's try the lights…"

"It's futile; the lights won't respond…"

"Could Chu Feng's predictions be accurate?"

Another one of Chu Feng's roommates, Zhou You, cried out in alarm.

A look of terror was exchanged among everyone present.

As confusion reigned, a dense fog materialized outside, obscuring all visibility beyond the windowpane.

Within moments, a cacophony erupted.

"What in the world…"

Ki! Ki! Ki! Ki!

"Ahhhh!!

Monster, monster..."

"Don't come here, don't come here!"

As the fog thickened, a rapid and unnatural growth overtook all flora and fauna, observable to the naked eye.

An array of bizarre silhouettes began to manifest before the humans.

Then, cries for help and exclamations of shock emanated from beyond the classroom walls.

Before anyone could process the events unfolding,

"What on earth…"

Ekkkkkk!

A sudden shriek pierced the silence, drawing everyone's attention to a startling scene in the aisle.

Xu Yao, known for her artistic talents and charming demeanor, was now in distress. She knelt, clutching her face, as disarray overtook her once-neat appearance.

Her arms were marred by a web of darkening veins, signaling an intense agony that wracked her body with tremors.

"Xu Yao, what's happening to you?

Please, don't frighten me like this," pleaded a close friend, rushing to her side in concern.

But before anyone could comprehend the situation, Xu Yao's demeanor took a horrifying turn.

Lifting her head, she revealed a visage of terror: hollowed eyes, gray and bloodshot, set in a gaunt face.

Groowl!

Her expression was marred by streaks of blood and pus, emitting a guttural growl akin to a creature of nightmares.

In a shocking twist, Xu Yao had transformed into a zombie.

Her friend, paralyzed by fear at the grotesque transformation, could only think of escape.

Alas, it was too late. The zombified Xu Yao lunged forward, her bloodied mouth gaping, and sank her teeth into her friend's neck.

Blood sprayed in a violent arc, a gruesome sight to behold.

Xu Yao's newfound strength was undeniable, rendering her classmate's desperate attempts to fend her off futile.

The alarming situation caught the attention of several male students who moved to intervene, only to be halted by another chilling scream.

Ahhhhhhh!

What the Fuck is happening?

Another student succumbed to the same horrific fate, transforming into a zombie.

And then another, and yet another…

Outside, as the dense fog lifted, an extraordinary spectacle unfolded beneath the teaching building.

A horde of lizard-like creatures, their bodies a vivid green and adorned with minuscule scales, tails trailing behind them, emerged into view.

They were short in stature, averaging between one meter twenty to one meter forty in height, but their ferocious appearance and sheer numbers were nothing short of overwhelming.

They group in small clusters, their distinctive vertical pupils scanning the surroundings, on the hunt for their next victim.

These beings were unlike anything humanity had ever witnessed, and their unfamiliarity bred an instinctive terror in those who laid eyes upon them.

As these monstrous entities made their presence known, humans stood frozen in shock.

The lizardmen preyed upon humans outside, while inside, more humans fell victim to the zombie contagion.

Fear and panic engulfed everyone, signaling the start of a terrifying new reality.

Rewinding the clock by a minute,

Lu Yu certainly felt the cosmic storm. This surge of energy left his mind in a state of discomfort, akin to being bombarded by a barrage of shells. The incessant buzzing and humming in his brain nearly caused him to lose consciousness.

Fortunately, this energy dissipated as quickly as it appeared, and Lu Yu regained his senses immediately.

However, he noticed that his forehead was drenched in cold sweat and he was inexplicably exhausted.

Suddenly, he received two system prompts indicating that his physique was strengthening and his wind attribute ability was awakening.

[Ding, it is detected that your physique is strengthening...]

[Ding, it is detected that your wind attribute ability is awakening...]

Physical strengthening?

Wind attribute ability?

Lu Yu, who had just wiped the sweat off his forehead, was taken aback. He was surprised to discover that apart from the system, he also possessed the wind attribute ability.

This was indeed the power of the first villain BOSS of the original plot. It was clear that the strengthening of his physique and the awakening of his wind attribute ability were unrelated to the system.

These were powers that Lu Yu inherently possessed and would have had to discover on his own. But now, the system has directly announced these abilities. Lu Yu was pleasantly surprised.

He proceeded to examine his system's Personal Properties Panel. The panel displayed the following information:

.......

Name: Lu Yu

Age: 21

Height: 180 cm

Weight: 85 kg

Vitality: 16 (The average value for an adult male is 10)

Mental Strength: 20 (The average value for an adult male is 10)

Strength: 17 (The average value for an adult male is 10)

Agility: 15 (The average value for an adult male is 10)

Enhancement Level: Dark Iron Elementary

Power Level: Wind Attribute

Villain's Exclusive Skills: Villain's Eye, Villain's Heart, Villain's Halo

..........

This panel provides a comprehensive overview of Lu Yu's personal attributes.

As for his age, height, and weight, they are quite typical and do not stand out as particularly unique or unusual.

However, the key focus here is on his combat attributes and character skills. These are the elements that truly distinguish him and play a crucial role in his abilities and performance.

In the last days, apart from some individuals who had awakened special powers, general awakeners could be categorized into two types: enhancers who excelled in melee combat and power users who were adept at controlling elements.

Both types had the same grading system, starting from black iron, bronze, silver, gold, dark gold, and so on. Each level was further divided into three stages: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced.

Lu Yu's current enhancement level and power level were at the first level of black iron.

The four attributes of vitality, spiritual power, strength, and agility on the character attribute panel were self-explanatory.

Strength represents the power of one's fists and feet. One attribute point was roughly equivalent to 10 pounds of strength, which could increase by 20%-50% when stimulated by external factors.

Agility refers to the speed of running and body coordination.

Vitality represents the body's immunity, resilience, and ability to withstand attacks.

Mental power was a bit more complex, representing a person's attention, reaction speed, control over abilities, and the speed of ability release.

In short, the higher these attributes, the better.

Lu Yu, being a typical rich second-generation individual, had been exercising regularly, so his usual attributes were higher than those of an average adult male. His mental power was significantly higher than that of an average person due to the transmigration.

After the cosmic storm's baptism, his average physical fitness had exceeded that of a normal person by 1.5 times, making him equivalent to some professional athletes.

He then checked his other skills. The Villain Halo skill meant that although he was a villain and would attract the protagonist's hatred, he could not only be immune to the protagonist's halo of wisdom but also gain the opponent's ability after killing the protagonist.

After killing the heroine, he would receive some attribute rewards. If he changed the heroine's fate or made the heroine lose the heroine's fate, he would receive some additional rewards.

"Killing the protagonist and I can get his abilities?"

Seeing this attribute, Lu Yu couldn't help but smile.

"Hehe, good ability, it seems that being a villain is quite comfortable."

Meanwhile, Yan Yun, who was standing beside him, was a little confused. The sun was shining and the sky was clear just now, so why did it suddenly change?

After the thunder, it fogged up directly?

The phone had no signal, and then the power went out directly?

She couldn't even make a call to the police. She clearly remembered that her mobile phone still had 42% battery. Why did it suddenly shut down?

And the cold feeling just now left her very tired. What was going on?

"The end of the world!"

Lu Yu casually spat out a few words. Now that the system had been activated, Lu Yu had no restrictions and could naturally speak freely. Yan Yun looked at Lu Yu in surprise.

Doomsday?

How was this possible?

Without embarrassing her,

Lu Yu gathered the clothes, footwear, and socks that were scattered on the floor from the previous night and tossed them towards her. He suggested,

"Firstly, get dressed. Even if your intention is to involve the police and have me arrested, your immediate priority should be survival!"

"Is this truly the apocalypse?"

"Why don't you dress up and see for yourself?"

Lu Yu suggested with a glance towards the window.

Yan Yun was skeptical of Lu Yu's apocalyptic claims.

Yet, undeniable evidence loomed large.

The resounding peals of thunder, the rapidly forming and vanishing fog, the abrupt blackout of her phone screen, and the sensation of a cosmic tempest engulfing her just moments ago.

All signs pointed to an aberrant world.

Thus, Yan Yun, upon hearing Lu Yu's invitation, set aside her questions about his misdeeds from the previous night.

She came out from under the covers, wore her clothes, and trudged to the window.

Peering through the hotel's glass pane.

In an instant!

Yan Yun's eyes bulged, terror swiftly engulfing her.

"What on earth is this…"
