A month and a half had passed since Enlil began spending time with Ning Rongrong, dedicating part of it to teaching her about the nature of people. Frankly, Enlil hadn't expected to enjoy her company so much. Ning Rongrong was kind, lively, and knew how to make him laugh. It was no surprise that Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo were fond of her.
Initially, Enlil's plan had been to keep her away from Shrek Academy by any means possible, even considering finding an excuse to leave her in another city. But after spending time with her, he changed his mind. He no longer saw any harm in maintaining a good relationship with her, especially considering her powerful background.
During this period, Enlil didn't just enjoy Ning Rongrong's company; he also focused on honing his combat skills. He regularly went to the fighting arena in Soto City to train and regain his physical prowess. Over time, his skills grew much stronger. In one match, he faced Dai Mubai and defeated him with ease. In other matches, he teamed up with Ning Rongrong, teaching her how to use her martial spirit effectively.
In one of those matches, he faced Tang San and Xiao Wu. He admitted that competing with them was more challenging, not because of their strength but due to Tang San's cunning tricks and Xiao Wu's deceptive attacks. However, with the help of his Sharingan and his companions, he ultimately managed to defeat them. Watching the disappointment on their faces, especially Flender's sorrow from losing a bet, brought Enlil great satisfaction.
Today, however, Enlil knew it was time to pursue his original goal and the main reason he had stayed in this city for so long. He had been waiting for the right moment to claim Xiao Wu's spirit ring, Tang San's beloved.
He smiled as he thought about Tang Hao's reaction when he discovered the spirit bone missing from the cave. He might go insane and rush to the Spirit Hall, trying to find the culprit. But Enlil, being a former ninja, was confident he hadn't left any trace behind.
"It's time to move," Enlil thought, then headed toward the mansion he had rented with Ning Rongrong in the city. When he arrived at her room, he knocked on the door.
"What's the matter, Enlil?" Ning Rongrong asked.
"It's time to execute the plan."
Ning Rongrong was slightly surprised but quickly nodded in agreement. Moments later, the two left the city and headed into the surrounding forest.
Once they were far enough from the city, Enlil pulled out a kunai from his storage ring. In a sudden move, Ning Rongrong found herself pinned against a tree, the kunai at her throat.
"Brother, what are you doing?" she asked, confused and with a trembling voice.
"Hand over all your money, Ning Rongrong, or I won't hesitate to kill you right here and now," he said coldly and menacingly.
Before Ning Rongrong could respond, a large man in his thirties suddenly appeared, shouting, "Stop immediately, or I'll tear you apart!"
Enlil calmly stepped back and returned the kunai to his storage ring. Ning Rongrong smiled and said to her brother in a teasing tone, "You hurt me, Enlil."
"I wasn't pressing that hard. Stop complaining."
The other man stood there, confused, looking at the two until Ning Rongrong explained, "It was just an act to force you to intervene."
"An act?" the man asked, angry.
Enlil responded calmly, "I need your help with a simple matter, and it won't take much of your time."
"I'm not your servant, kid," the man said angrily.
"Do what he says, or I'll tell my grandfathers you're bullying me," Ning Rongrong said from the side.
After a few hours in a dark palace, Uchiha Enlil sat on a chair across from Ning Rongrong, exchanging glances in silence, as if waiting for something. Suddenly, they heard quick footsteps approaching.
A girl stopped at the door, her face showing signs of concern and confusion. "You two from that fight, what are you doing here?" she asked, surprised.
Enlil replied, "I'm the one who sent the message to you."
"Really? Then can you tell me what happened to Da Ming and Er Ming? Are they okay?" she asked anxiously.
"Don't worry, they're fine. But I'm not sure if you'll be okay," Enlil said, grinning wickedly.
"What do you mean? Did Er Ming and Da Ming really send you?" Xiao Wu stepped back, realizing something was wrong.
Enlil smiled and said, "It seems you've realized there's something amiss. Unfortunately, it's too late to figure that out now."
"What do you want?" Xiao Wu asked cautiously.
"Nothing but your spirit ring."
Suddenly, Xiao Wu felt a crushing pressure, causing her legs to weaken, and she fell to her knees.
"The girl with me has two guardians, one at the Spirit Saint level and the other a Spirit Douluo, who exposed your secret. Will you sacrifice your spirit ring, or should we resort to more difficult methods?"
Xiao Wu laughed bitterly and wildly, "Go ahead, try to torture me. It's not like I'm afraid of you. I won't sacrifice my ring, and you won't be able to get it if I die."
Enlil wasn't angered by her defiance but responded calmly, "You're right, I can't absorb a hundred-thousand-year-old spirit ring without exploding, so I want you to willingly sacrifice it. And it's not like I don't have ways to force you."
Xiao Wu didn't respond, glaring at him with defiant red eyes.
Enlil smiled, then activated his Sharingan, locking eyes with Xiao Wu. Suddenly, her gaze became unfocused. "Come, sacrifice your life to me," he ordered in a low voice.
Xiao Wu took slow steps toward him but suddenly stopped and shook her head, wondering what was happening.
"What did you do to me?" she asked in terror.
"Unfortunately, the first method didn't work. I'll just resort to the second. Even though you're weak now, as a hundred-thousand-year-old spirit beast, you must have strong mental power."
He continued, "Well, Xiao Wu, it seems you really don't want to sacrifice yourself. Although I doubt you could endure torture, I honestly find it hard to hurt women."
Xiao Wu felt a moment of relief, but then Enlil said something that terrified her: "But I don't mind torturing Tang San. I'm sure he'll gladly take the pain for you."
Xiao Wu was shocked by this threat and stood up to attack him. "Arc Strike!"
But Enlil dodged her attack easily, saying, "Keep attacking if you want me to send the Spirit Saint to bring Tang San here. Maybe you'd like to watch him get tortured."
Xiao Wu collapsed to the ground, defeated, not saying a word.
Enlil looked at her quietly, but internally he felt pity and hesitation. However, he steeled his resolve showing mercy to the enemy is cruelty to oneself. He had to do it, not only to become stronger but also to prevent Tang San from growing stronger by absorbing Xiao Wu's soul ring.
Minutes of silence passed as Enlil sat near Ning Rongrong, who looked at him strangely.
"Fine, I'll sacrifice myself to you, but you must promise to leave Tang San alone. He has nothing to do with this."
"Of course, I won't harm anyone who isn't my enemy," Enlil replied , moving closer to her.
"Ning Rongrong, don't forget. If something happens to me while absorbing the spirit ring, you can go and send people to kill everyone at Shrek."
"Okay, brother, I'll also take revenge on the Star Dou Forest if something happens to you," Ning Rongrong replied, knowing her brother was pressuring Xiao Wu to avoid causing trouble.
