The betrayal

Here is the rewritten chapter, expanded and corrected:

"So, what you're saying is that we've been fighting a robot?" I exclaimed, my voice laced with disbelief.

"Yeah, and it's anti-matter design," Matt replied, his eyes narrowed in thought. "I think someone from the Corps is trying to spy on us."

As they were lost in thought, Matt suddenly had a flashback to his fight with Gunner.

"Me, Ema, and Bethel will take this route, while the rest of you will take another," Matt heard himself say in the memory.

"Yeah, is that Gunner?" a voice responded.

"Let's go! Hey, Gunner, you alien, get out of my planet!" Matt yelled, his fists clenched.

"Hey, is Lord Gunner you low-life human?" Gunner sneered.

"Ahhh!" Matt gritted his teeth as he launched an attack. "Anti-matter: nuclear slashes!"

But Gunner tanked the attack, unfazed. "You think your silly attack won't work on me?"

Matt's eyes widened as Gunner retaliated with a powerful blast. "Hey, Gunner, I'm gonna waste you!"

"Are you referring to yourself as waste?" Gunner sneered.

Matt's face contorted in anger. "Shut up! Anti-matter: seven-headed snake!"

The snakes attacked, but Gunner released an Omega beam, destroying them. "Anti-matter: dream cloak!"

A rainbow cloth covered Gunner, and Matt's eyes narrowed. "Let me finish this! Anti-matter: radiation claw!"

Yellow lightning struck the earth, and Ema cried out in pain. "Hey!" Matt exclaimed, snapping back to reality.

"Well, you said someone is working for Gunner. I wonder who," I said, my curiosity piqued.

Somewhere in the cosmos, Blaze reported to Gunner. "Hey, Lord Gunner, I got some information. The box is basically a tree, and the last piece of the box is with Moho-Sha, Ema's son."

Gunner's laughter echoed through the space. "You've done well, Blaze."

Blaze walked from a space ship, twin blades with chains in hand. "Hey, Blaze, where are you coming from?" a tall, dark-haired man asked, his light blue eyes gleaming with curiosity.

"I'm coming from New York. I was sent on a mission there," Blaze replied, his eyes gleaming with deceit.

Klein snorted. "Stop lying, I know you work for Gunner. And after I beat you up and send you to them, maybe I'll get your post as a rank 10, hahahaha!"

Blaze's eyes narrowed. "Does any other person know I work for Gunner?"

"No, how will I get the credit?" Klein replied, his dagger glinting in the light.

"Great, cause this is your last day on earth, Klein," Blaze exclaimed, charging into battle.

"Anti-matter: bubble appearance!" Klein shouted, confusion etched on his face.

Blaze attacked, his sword covered in flames. "Anti-matter: hell cut!"

Klein screamed in pain as Blaze struck him. "I would have brought hell to this Corps, but I want to kill you silently."

Klein breathed heavily, his eyes wide with fear. "Anti-matter: burning nail!"

Blaze stabbed Klein, turning him to ash. "Klein, I wanted your death to be painful, but I don't want Matt to hear about this, cause he is the biggest threat in the Corps."

Back at the Corps, Matt exclaimed, "Hey, Moho-Sha, let's head back to the Corps!"

As we arrived, we encountered Blaze. "Hey, Blaze," Matt shouted from a distance.

"I have some news," Blaze said in a low tone.

"What?" we asked in unison.

"Klein is dead," Blaze replied, his eyes gleaming with a mixture of sadness and guilt.

"What? How did it happen?" we asked, our voices laced with concern.

"I don't have the complete information, but his body was not found," Blaze responded, his eyes cast downward.

"Poor Klein," Matt added, his voice laced with sorrow.

"Who is Klein?" I asked, my curiosity piqued.

"A rank 8 in the Corps, he has high hopes of becoming a rank 10," Matt replied, his eyes cast downward.

"Hey, Moho-Sha, sorry to tell you this in this awkward situation," Matt exclaimed.

"What is it? You can tell me," I asked, my heart racing with anticipation.

"This week is your working week," Matt exclaimed, his eyes gleaming with a mixture of excitement and trepidation.

"What!!!!!!" I shouted in surprise, my eyes wide with disbelief.
