Breaking Two Records, Neuer Suffers as Background

Lin's goal greatly boosted Werder Bremen's morale.

After his goal, almost all the players, including goalkeeper Mielitz, ran over to celebrate with him.

"Well done, Lin!"

"That's how you tackle them!"

Players either hugged him, ruffled his head, or patted his back in various ways to congratulate and encourage him.

Captain Fritz gave Lin a hug, patted his back hard, and said, "Keep it up, aim to take down a few more later!"

De Bruyne chimed in, "I'll pass to you. Just find the opening!"

Goalkeeper Mielitz said, "How about I kick it long from the back, that way we can avoid their midfield!"

Lin pointed to his height, saying, "Sebastian, I appreciate the gesture, but if you kick long to me, I might not reach the ball. Winning headers at my height is quite challenging."

Teammates chuckled seeing the height difference between Lin and goalkeeper Mielitz.

"It might be tricky. How about letting Arnautovic pass to you?"

Lin instinctively looked at the tall Arnautovic standing nearby. At 192 cm, with excellent heading ability, he was a great option for aerial duels.

However, would the team's main striker agree to play a supportive role for Lin?

"No problem, leave it to me!"

To everyone's surprise, Arnautovic quickly agreed without a second thought.

It appeared the Austrian was tough-looking but quite accommodating.

Neuer stood with hands on hips, looking resentfully at Lin, surrounded by teammates.

Lin's debut goal broke the youngest starting record and youngest goal record, with Neuer uncomfortably part of that history.

This left him quite frustrated; he had done his best to stop the goal, but couldn't. The blame wasn't placed on his teammates; it was just one goal, not worth blaming.

"Stay focused, don't underestimate the opponents just because they seem easy!"

Neuer clapped firmly, shouting to his teammates.

Lahm gave him an apologetic look, exchanging a glance with Boateng.

Both were determined. They vowed to stop him in the remainder of the game and not give him any opportunities.

On the coaching side, Schaaf, seeing Lin's ball possession, couldn't help but stand up, sitting back down only after Lin scores, with a satisfied smile:

"This kid is a performer on the big stage, showing no nerves even in such moments. Seems like I can consider giving him more tactical roles."

In contrast, the other coaches' frantic reaction to Lin's goal was chaotic, with them rushing to the sidelines, shouting in frenzy.

"Darn it!"

"Goodness, that shot went in too?"

"Our opponents are on a lucky streak!"

On the Bayern bench, seeing the opponent's goal, the substitutes and assistant coaches wore expressions of disbelief, finding it hard to accept the result.

Heynckes, seeing the opponent score first, only wrinkled his brow slightly.

Werder Bremen's number 10 surprised him greatly, displaying a mindset beyond his age and experience. Even when Lahm set traps in defense, he evaded them all.

Either he was slow to react and missed Lahm's traps, or he was a prodigious talent who could ignore defensive snares.

He preferred the former since if the latter was true, Bayern could be in trouble this game!

During the break before the restart, Heynckes called Kroos.

"After the restart, tell teammates to increase the game's pace, and assign someone to mark their number 10. Discuss with Lahm for specifics; ensure he doesn't get comfortable receiving the ball."

Kroos nodded heavily. With Schweinsteiger absent, the midfield was Kroos's responsibility to lead, a significant test for the young midfielder!

The game quickly resumed.

Despite conceding, Bayern wasn't affected; they continued their onslaught on Werder Bremen's goal.

In the 11th minute, on the right, Robben dribbled past a Werder Bremen player, leading to a foul on 16th Junuzović, who received a yellow card.

Two minutes later, Robben returned.

Impacted by the early booking, Junuzović was cautious in defense and was effortlessly bypassed by Robben.

This time, Robben realized the attack wasn't solely his responsibility. After the breakthrough, he immediately passed to the central Müller.

Müller didn't stop the ball, sending a clever pass to Shaqiri, who quickly launched a shot that unfortunately veered off target, leaving Bayern fans groaning.

In the 16th minute, following a successful interception in the front, Müller's precise through ball penetrated Werder Bremen's defense line.

Bayern's striker Gomez received the ball inside the box, turned amidst two defenders' pressure, swiveled and shot, hitting the post and deflecting out.

The shot from Werder Bremen startled their fans; although the chance wasn't good, the shot quality was extremely high.

If it weren't for the post, the score might have been level.

For a few minutes, Bayern had Werder Bremen's goal under siege.

Bayern increased the game's pace to a very high level. This caused Werder Bremen to make frequent errors and struggle to keep up.

De Bruyne and Lin were stifled by Bayern's players. It was very difficult for the two to receive passes from their teammates.

With the two unable to get the ball, Werder Bremen couldn't mount a counterattack and were pinned down by the opponents.

This couldn't go on; sustained pressure would lead to conceding a goal.

As anticipated, in the 23rd minute, Bayern displayed clever teamwork in the front.

After a series of passes, Werder Bremen's defensive shape was disorganized. After the goalkeeper saved Robben's attempt, Thomas Müller cleverly slotted home from close range.

The score was now 1:1!

After the goal, Müller was very excited. He ran to the sidelines, raising his arms to request applause from the audience.

Bayern fans immediately cheered and applauded him warmly.

Other Bayern players also joined the celebration. As Lahm passed by Lin, he especially said, "Kid, you can't beat us!"

Lin glanced at him, ignored him, and turned back to his own half to comfort his teammates.

He didn't like arguing with people. He preferred proving himself through actions rather than words.
