Breaking Records Again

Faced with the increasingly reckless actions of both sets of players, the coaches from both teams were getting a bit restless.

Even though Schaaf wanted his players to increase their physicality and intensity, he didn't want them to lose their heads and receive yellow cards unnecessarily!

On the other side, Klopp was shouting at his players, urging them to play smarter and not fall for the opposing team's tactics.

Werder Bremen isn't a direct rival of Dortmund, and paying such a high price against such a team wasn't worth it!

Watching the players from both sides continuously getting booked, especially the Dortmund players receiving yellow cards, Lin was almost laughing out loud. Kehl and Kirch were both defensive players, and for him, both of them getting booked was definitely good news.

Having received these yellow cards, they would surely be cautious and not commit fouls easily in the second half. This would allow him to break through more freely!

The first half ended quickly. Werder Bremen did not equalize the score, and Dortmund also failed to seize the opportunity to extend their lead. The score was still 1-0.

After the start of the second half, Werder Bremen made some adjustments to their lineup.

Number 10, Lin, entered the match, replacing Ignjovski, who had been booked.

Seeing Lin taking to the field, the fans in the forums immediately got excited.

"He's finally on the pitch!"

"This match isn't very exciting. If it wasn't for those yellow cards in the first half, I would have turned off the live stream long ago!"

"Dortmund's play doesn't seem quite the same as last season. Have they changed their tactics?"

"Heh, in the first half, both sides committed crazy fouls, making the game disjointed. Dortmund's fast-paced attack couldn't unfold properly!"

"So, it seems like Schaaf really has some tricks up his sleeve. He managed to find a way to contain Dortmund!"

"Contain them? But the score is 1-0, and Dortmund is leading! Winning by a small margin, only conceding a goal against Dortmund is a decent result. Besides, Lin hasn't even taken the field yet!"

Many fans were highly anticipating Lin's performance, believing that with his skill, Werder Bremen might change the score in the second half. Some even thought Lin could score three goals and achieve a hat-trick!

This opinion was naturally mocked by Dortmund fans:

"Heh, Dortmund is no pushover. Let's talk after he makes it to the starting lineup. A substitute player thinking he can score three goals against Dortmund?"

Some ridiculed Lin's substitute status.

"Wait and see, Klopp has long found a way to seal Lin. He won't score at all in this match!"

Some others placed great hope in the miraculous Klopp.

Meanwhile, the home fans of Dortmund sent continuous boos in anticipation of Lin's entrance.

"The Westfalenstadion fans seem to have recalled the match from 20 days ago. They are sending an unprecedented chorus of boos for Lin, who's about to come on as a substitute!"

Seeing Dortmund's fans booing Lin, Focuzo couldn't help but chuckle.

"The more attention the opponent pays, the more they can show a player's strength and threat. Lin scored a goal in the last match and caused a red card and a penalty. It can be said that he played a major role in the team's comeback. So, it's understandable that Dortmund's fans are so wary of him!"

Duke Tzur was looking forward to Lin's performance after not being able to commentate on the Telekom Cup. It was a bit regretful for him. Who would have expected a Chinese youngster to shine so brightly in the Telekom Cup!

The facts proved that Dortmund's fans' caution was justified.

After Lin came on, Werder Bremen's offensive threat in the front immediately stepped up a notch.

De Bruyne, who had struggled to find a rapport with his teammates, completely revitalized Werder Bremen's attacking lineup through a series of smooth collaborations with Lin.

Shortly after the start of the second half, Werder Bremen's right-wing attack was fully activated, forcing Dortmund to shrink their defense and give up their left-wing attack to stifle the opponent's offense.

In the 65th minute, de Bruyne passed the ball to Lin, who then made a breakthrough.

After getting past Großkreutz, he faced Dortmund's midfielder Kehl.

Kehl had received a yellow card in the first half, which meant he couldn't be too aggressive in defense. This significantly reduced his defensive abilities, and Lin easily bypassed him.

Seeing their teammate bypassed, Hummels and Schmelzer immediately double-teamed Lin.

Both thought Lin would continue to push forward, but Lin passed the ball back to de Bruyne.

De Bruyne then passed the ball to Elia on the left, who drove the ball to the bottom, delivering a kick to the penalty area.

Inside the penalty area, Arnautovic, amid defensive interference, failed to get the first touch.

However, there was a gap in Dortmund's defense, and Lin, who made a clever forward run, found an opportunity to leap and head the ball into the goal.

The score became 1-1. In the first 20 minutes of the second half, Werder Bremen leveled the score!

Werder Bremen's offensive play was extremely fluid and smooth. Coach Schaaf on the sidelines was extremely excited, as this was the coordinated attack he had dreamt of!

When Lin scored, everyone was surprised. He had initially intended to chest the ball before shooting. But seeing Schmelzer and Hummels rushing towards him, he worried that stopping the ball would give them time to disrupt him. So, instinctively, he used his head to hit the ball, and unexpectedly, it went in.

This was Lin's first goal in the Bundesliga and his first career header goal.

"We interrupt with breaking news. We have learned from the Bundesliga organizers that Lin has already set two records in this match.

He has broken Nuri Sahin's previous record of being the youngest player in the Bundesliga at 16 years and 334 days, greatly reducing it to 16 years and 186 days.

Additionally, his goal has also broken Nuri Sahin's record for being the youngest scorer in the Bundesliga. Sahin scored his record-breaking goal at the age of 17 years and 82 days during the 2005 season in a match between Nuremberg and Dortmund. Lin has now elevated this record to 16 years and 186 days, a record that will probably remain unbroken for a long time to come!"

Focuzo was also quite excited today, as it's rare for a seasoned Bundesliga commentator like him to witness the creation of two records.

Duke Tzur couldn't help but remark, "Players like Lin can't be assessed with normal eyes. Which normal player could break five records in succession? Three in the Telekom Cup and two in the Bundesliga, it seems breaking records is as simple for him as eating and drinking!"

When Lin scored and broke the records, Dortmund's big screen also showed relevant notifications.

The Dortmund fans were mixed in their feelings about the record. From the perspective of an average fan, they should applaud a player who creates such records. But from the standpoint of a Dortmund fan, the thought that the opponent set records on their own team felt like they had eaten a thousand flies, utterly disgusting!

The fans were in a dilemma.

As a result, there was silence in the stadium, and no one booed Lin.

However, at this moment, a Dortmund player applauded Lin.

As Reus was returning to his own half, he saw the reminder on the big screen, paused for a moment, and then applauded Lin.

The other Dortmund players hesitated for a moment, then looked at their captain.

Hummels glanced at Reus, then at Lin. Although he had received a red card for a tackle on Lin in the Telekom Cup, there was a faint grudge between the two. But, as professional players, they didn't let past unpleasant experiences affect their actions. Hummels led the applause for Lin, and seeing the captain applaud, the other Dortmund players also followed suit. Even on the stands, there was some scattered applause.

Lin was a bit surprised at how courteous the opponents were, so he didn't feel comfortable celebrating on their home ground. He made a gesture to indicate a lack of celebration, then jogged over to Reus and gave him a warm hug.

"Thank you, Marco!"

"You're welcome. This is your own achievement, but be careful from now on; we won't let you score again!"

Reus hadn't forgotten that the two were opponents now and, while wishing him well, hadn't forgotten to assert his position.

"Well, let's see how well your defense holds up!"

Lin's record-breaking action indeed stimulated Dortmund.

After the restart of the match, their defense against Lin was raised up a gear. There even appeared a shadowing player closely marking him.

Ilkay Gundogan, who used to be Dortmund's midfield core, now had the main responsibility in the second half of marking Lin.

With the close marking from the opponents, it became difficult for Lin to receive the ball. His teammates also didn't dare to pass the ball to him, causing Werder Bremen's front-line attack to lose momentum.

On the other side, Dortmund's attack also became less smooth after losing Gundogan's leadership. Although they besieged Werder Bremen's goal for a while, they still couldn't change the score.

As the time of the match slowly slipped away, Klopp couldn't sit still.

He called for Gundogan to warm up and be ready to come on.
