Tony's game had become hugely popular within The Wandering Earth, but Logic couldn't be happy about it because he knew insider information!
The Tri-Body Deity world that guy created was based on the Three-Body VR game template and developed into a new game; it had a grand setting and was bound to become an explosive hit upon release.
But Tony had a twisted sense of humor.
He gave all the new players a piece of land to call their own, allowing them to build their territories, rule as lords, or choose to be adventurers, roaming the world.
But all civilizations were fated to be destroyed, marking the arrival of the Chaotic Era. The three suns orbiting the planet would completely drift away, plunging the entire planet into absolute freezing cold—the day when all civilizations would perish.
To prevent the arrival of the Chaotic Era,
someone had to solve the Three-Body Problem, and at the correct time and place, they had to shout "Martial Soul Fusion" and summon the Houyi Martial Soul True Form. Then, unleash the ninth soul skill and shoot down those two suns.
Of course,
this was an unsolvable puzzle for players, nearly impossible to achieve!
So, every time the Chaotic Era came,
those players who planted and farmed would be dumbstruck because everything would be deleted, and everything would start afresh.
The territories they toiled and crafted with care, the accounts they earnestly leveled up with hard work and spending, all stolen away overnight, cleared in the blink of an eye…
That kind of frustration,
perhaps only Blizzard players could understand!
Logic thought he still had a bit of conscience, so with hesitation, he said, "This... doesn't seem very nice, does it?"
Tony patted his chest with his hand, "Don't worry about it. These players are like tender green leeks, cut regularly for quicker growth. The more it happens, the more interested they become, the more they'll spend!"
"Uh... Tony, who taught you this?"
"I outsourced to a little brother with the last name of Ma from the East. He told me!" At that moment, Tony couldn't help but feel very grateful, "He's really a good guy. I spent only fifty million and he shared with me this industry secret that could make one rich; he's truly a good person!"
Logic: (ー_ー)!!
At that moment, he suddenly doubted whether he could succeed in collecting faith through this game?
He mustn't wait for the Chaotic Era to arrive, the game to reset, and those angry players to curse out all his ancestors.
Protecting his parents was more important!
Logic pondered for a moment, considering whether or not to let Penguin Corporation from The Wandering Earth take a share; this way, his ancestors would definitely be safe.
But speaking of which,
the little brother Ma from The Wandering Earth should still be around, right?
It's going to be a hard task for you, old man, to take the heat for me. You've taken your fair share of scolding already; one more pot of blame won't make a difference!
Comforting himself, Logic was just about to try out the Tri-Body Deity game when he suddenly heard 108's notification.
"Sir, you have a guest who will be arriving soon, in about ten minutes!"
A guest?
Logic was quite surprised. He didn't have any relatives or friends in the Tri-Solar World because he knew very well that they didn't belong to him.
No one knew about the future, the vast Three-Body Civilization, the universe's Singer Civilization, the Returners who reset the universe. These were secrets he couldn't share with anyone, burdens that couldn't be shared.
Especially after taking over the ETO organization, he was vaguely standing opposed to Earth and couldn't risk any exposure.
The Third Red Coast Base hidden beneath the Pacific Ocean was still under construction; the Second Red Coast Base was always ready to be used as Logic's pawn. He usually lived in the manor corresponding to his public identity and very few people knew his whereabouts.
Unless...
"Is it Shi Qiang?"
Logic knew in his heart that perhaps only the military could have effortlessly located his current whereabouts, and maybe it was only the military that was so urgently seeking him.
He silently said to himself,
It seems the seed planted in Chang Weisi's heart has finally sprouted, although it's taken its sweet time.
It was time for the second step of the original three-step plan, to let them witness a real alien civilization.
As Logic had anticipated,
The visitor was none other than Shi Qiang. He got out of the car, instinctively pulled out a cigarette, and took a deep drag before slowly exhaling a cloud of smoke and exclaiming,
"Fuck!"
It wasn't that he was uncultured, it was just that what he was seeing was too astonishing. In front of him lay a luxurious estate, nestled halfway up a hill, basking in the sunset on one side, with a vast, sun-dappled lake stretching to the horizon beyond.
Such a magnificent view.
By global standards, that was seriously awesome!
Of course, this wasn't what shocked Shi Qiang. What astounded him was the thing sprinting down the mountain, something utterly outside the realm of what he could accept.
"Fuck! Xiao Liu, Xiao Liu, what the hell is that?"
Driver Xiao Liu was also dumbfounded, rubbing his eyes as if he doubted his own vision, followed by a snap.
A voice, characteristic of Daidai, sounded.
"Hello, I am Military Dog Daidai, may I ask if you are guests?"
Military... Military Dog?
Shi Qiang kept smoking as he sized up Daidai's mechanical body and the cute display screen. After a long while, he blurted out, "I knew that bunch was always hiding stuff, damn it, why didn't they bring out such cool things earlier? Just look at this little thing, tsk tsk, really handsome!"
Obviously,
Military Dog Daidai from The Wandering Earth, year 2065, was a bit beyond Shi Qiang's comprehension of 2008. After all, in those days, all concepts of artificial intelligence belonged in movies; everything in front of the eyes was a paper tiger, all fake.
But the talking, expressive, speedily running, and incredibly agile military robot dog Daidai made Shi Qiang believe one thing.
Those soldiers.
They really did have the real McCoy!
Facing Shi Qiang and Xiao Liu, who seemed like country bumpkins, Daidai's face displayed a humanized expression.
Contempt! (ーー゛)
Then, it turned and ran back up the hill, occasionally glancing back to make sure Shi Qiang was keeping up.
Shi Qiang was also getting into the spirit; he refused to believe he couldn't catch up with a robotic dog with his burly build!
A robotic dog.
How fast could it run?
Ten minutes.
Shi Qiang was starting to doubt his life choices, his eyes filled with skepticism. Was this robotic dog really man-made?
Nevertheless, at least he had reached his destination and saw the person he intended to visit today.
Logic!
And there was Military Dog Daidai, lying quietly at Logic's feet, appearing to glance casually at the panting Shi Qiang, showing a hint of humanized mockery.
Ha! Silly dog!
