Chapter 344: The Loneliness of the Victor_1

Jiang Yu stared intently at Sophon, "Wallbreaking is a round of intellectual confrontation, and if you had an obvious goal, that would be your biggest weakness!"

He sighed deeply, "This should be the Trisolarans' last attempt at Wallbreaking. The term Wallbreaker is either coined by ETO or invented by you."

"It was once the only term that could make the Wallfacers tense."

"But you made it end in such an anticlimactic way, which is very disappointing."

Sophon smiled, "We have succeeded in Wallbreaking, you are part of the Black Cuboid People, doing things harmful to both humanity and the Trisolarans!"

"I'm not finished yet!" Jiang Yu said coldly, "Since you've already broken through the wall, now it's my turn to strike!"

Sophon straightened up, ready for battle!

Jiang Yu leaned forward, "I'll tell you what the Space City in the Kuiper Belt is.

"Each Space City contains a large Gravitational Wave Transmitter!"

The expression on Sophon's face froze, and the high-ranking officials of the PDC and Fleet International watching the live broadcast also became extremely tense.

In order to prevent the misuse of Gravitational Wave Transmitters, all gravitational wave equipment was strictly monitored by the PDC, Fleet International, the Solar System State, and the Trisolarans.

When the Trisolarans disclosed the technology, they divided it into three parts, with the Solar System State, PDC, and Fleet International each holding a piece.

It was impossible for any one political faction within humanity to bypass the other three and assemble a Gravitational Wave Emitter on their own.

After the Solar System State began to exploit the outer stellar systems, the PDC and Fleet International, in order to prevent the Solar System State from independently developing the complete technology for Gravitational Wave Transmitters, began to strictly control the two special materials needed to manufacture the transmitters. They also established a committee that required the Solar System State to transparently disclose the trade of these two materials.

In name, it was to prevent the misuse of Gravitational Wave Transmitters, but in fact, to a large extent, it was to guard against the Solar System State! Or rather, to guard against Jiang Yu having the capability for interstellar broadcasts!

For the past two to three decades, there had been no trade in these two materials within the Solar System State. Could they really have a secret Gravitational Wave Transmitter?

It took a moment for Sophon to answer, "You are bluffing! You have never transported the key components needed to manufacture Gravitational Wave Transmitters into those Space Cities, nor the machinery equipment needed for assembly!

"It's impossible for there to be so many Gravitational Wave Transmitters!"

"I am a Black Cuboid Person, aren't I? My technology is more advanced! I can build whatever I want!" Jiang Yu said.

"Also, how can you be so sure about what I have or haven't transported to those Space Cities?"

Sophon suddenly realized she might have fallen into Jiang Yu's trap and ignored his question:

"Even if Black Cuboid People's technology is advanced, it still has to follow the most basic laws of physics!

"Impossible to make means impossible to manufacture!"

Jiang Yu laughed, "Why? If I can build receivers, why can't I build Gravitational Wave Transmitters?"

The Trisolarans behind Sophon thought to themselves in dismay, they had indeed fallen into Jiang Yu's logical trap. "Regardless of whether you're creating transmitters or receivers, it's dangerous for all of humanity and the Trisolarans!"

"You're utterly wrong," Jiang Yu's eyes widened, "I'm building transmitters to deter you Trisolarans!

"So what you just said about me being a Black Cuboid Person doesn't hold up!

"Otherwise, why would a Black Cuboid Person build so many transmitters? Who do you need so many signal transmitters to communicate with?"

Jiang Yu smiled slyly, "If you insist on saying I built some sort of signal receiver, then produce the evidence!

"Sophon has been monitoring all the materials transported to those Space Cities, right? Give me a list of the raw materials, equipment, and relevant personnel I've shipped!

"Otherwise, without evidence, all your assumptions fall apart!"

"You just need to publicly disclose those Space Cities to prove your innocence," Sophon said.

"I will disclose them to everyone," Jiang Yu smiled, "but only to the PDC and Fleet International!"

"Human viewers watching this live broadcast can all go and visit those cities!"

"But the one place we won't disclose to you Trisolarans is right there!"

He then said with a smile, "That means you can't produce any evidence that I built a receiver, right? And indeed, you have been constantly monitoring the human world with Sophon!"

"Didn't you say that there is now only one Sophon left in the Solar System? Seems the Trisolarans can lie too, huh!"

"Don't claim that you started monitoring because you found the Solar System State engaging in dangerous activities.

"Did you inform the PDC about this surveillance? Or did you notify Fleet International?"

"Don't you preach the universality of the cosmos? Then why are you spying on humanity?"

Sophon was taken aback, they were cautious but still got outmaneuvered by Jiang Yu.

Jiang Yu pressed the advantage: "Nothing to say now, is there?"

"Many might not understand why the Solar System State wants to develop planets on the periphery of the Solar System.

"Today I'm here to tell everyone, I'm preparing for large-scale interstellar migration!"

Sophon said somewhat frantically, "This is escapism! It's a crime against humanity!"

Jiang Yu shrugged and said, "Who said I'm embarking on interstellar migration right now?

"With the technological advancement of humanity speeding up, there will come a day when we will leave the Solar System!

"Although the current moral values of humanity may not accept interstellar migration, what if one day it becomes possible to migrate on a large scale?

"If the universe is indeed filled with love, then we ought to go out and make friends, don't we?

"I hereby declare that from today on, the PDC and Fleet International can send representatives to check the progress of this project.

"If all goes well, in the not-too-distant future, anyone wanting to see beyond the Solar System will be able to do so, all expenses covered by the Solar System State!

"Of course, if no one wishes to go, we can also put the project on hold temporarily, until the time comes when you want to head out!"

Jiang Yu, seeing the Deception Points climbing steadily, knew that many people believed his speech.

Sophon felt the threat in Jiang Yu's words: disagree with me and I will embark on interstellar migration.

Jiang Yu returned to his carefree demeanor: "You will never be able to breach my plan because I hold your Achilles' heel in my grip, while you haven't found mine."

He said with a smile, "If you're going to admit defeat, do it sooner rather than later, otherwise, I don't mind if both fish and net are destroyed!"

Sophon stood silently for a few seconds and then suddenly got up. The armed robot standing behind Jiang Yu stepped forward. If Sophon dared to do anything against the Wallfacer, it was ready to turn Sophon into scrap metal in the blink of an eye.

Sophon's expression was rich with reluctance and disappointment, but all of those expressions finally turned into a gentle smile, "I'm truly sorry."

She bowed deeply, "I was too sensitive, I falsely accused the Wallfacer, please accept my apology."

"Forget about an apology," Jiang Yu said with a playful smile. "We are enemies after all, and your actions have merely made me start to despise you, expecting my forgiveness is out of the question."

Sophon ignored Jiang Yu's words, continuing with a gentle smile, bowing to the drones nearby, regretfully taking up everyone's time.

After repeatedly apologizing, she hastily boarded the aircraft that had come for her and left in disarray.

Watching the departing aircraft, Jiang Yu sighed deeply, "It seems no one can breach my plan now, and no one will understand my painstaking efforts."

Many times, he had hoped someone would successfully break through and lay bare his ultimate purpose for all to see.

Regrettably, that person had never appeared.
