The urgent alarm sounded, indicating that the fleet was under attack.

It would take the armed forces of the Solar System several minutes to respond effectively as well.

Wu Xinghai commanded, "Form a battle line, buy time for the Monster Cannon; civilian ships retreat swiftly in the direction sent by the command ship!"

A shootout commenced between the two sides, with the enemy's attacks gradually increasing and coming from all directions.

It didn't take long for the human fleet to suffer significant losses. Explosions happened in rapid succession within everyone's field of vision, and occasionally, pieces of warship wreckage whizzed by.

Protected by the force field, these pieces of wreckage could not harm the warships.

"The enemy's main force is approximately at a left angle of 15.11 degrees, downward 26.28 degrees. The length of the enemy's line is estimated to be between one and six astronomical units, suggesting attacks from multiple military bases.

"It is estimated that the enemy has tens of thousands of mobile combat platforms, and this number is still increasing.

"It is deduced that the enemy is using plasma weapons, which are more potent than our plasma weapons; they can penetrate the force field protection and breach the warships!"

For a moment, the command room fell into silence.

The enemy had at least ten thousand warships. Though their weapons were not as far-ranging or powerful as those of the human fleet, the human fleet had suddenly appeared on their doorstep, unable to leverage their advantage of longer weapon range.

There was no chance of victory!

Reinforcements? None. This place was too far from humanity's home, it would take light 28 years just to reach the Solar System.

The only option was to fight alone!

The civilian ships and the First Division's warships emitted enchanting flames from their sterns.
