Chapter 88: Breaking Through the Barrier, Lin Sen _1

Lin Sen: "Hmm... let's meet, arrange for some reporters, I'll give him what he wants."

Soon, Mozi stood before Lin Sen.

Mozi was a rather important character; he had broken Rey Diaz's plan in the original timeline.

A genius himself, Mozi deduced Rey Diaz's plans through various subtle clues. His process of wallbreaking was based on solid grounds, exceedingly meticulous, without a trace of personal conjecture.

He was also incredibly devout to the Trisolarans, having taught them many schemes, while he possessed a deep understanding of both human society and Trisolaris. Beneath his arrogant exterior was a wise heart.

Mozi was a handsome middle-aged man, resembling the Superman from the old movies, and his personal image was very good.

He just stood there, calmly meeting Lin Sen's scrutiny.

"Not a bad image, kind of interesting, Mr. Superman," Lin Sen spoke up.

"Many people say I resemble the Superman from the old movies," Mozi spread his hands in acknowledgment.

"Hold on, I've arranged for a few reporters. We can broadcast globally, which is what you wanted, I presume." Lin Sen said, as the reporters gradually arrived.

Kent's arrangement was swift. As soon as Lin Sen wanted to broadcast, the TV stations got into action, ready to broadcast globally.

The broadcast equipment was set up.

"Wallfacer Lin Sen, I am your Wallbreaker."

"Oh? Very formal, huh? I don't think I'm a Wallfacer; you must have the wrong person," Lin Sen responded.

"No mistake, in fact, you have already become a Wallfacer. My lord has ranked your threat at the highest level, even higher than that of Logic," Mozi claimed.

"Telling me this, aren't you worried your lord will be angry? Now we know a bit more about Trisolaran intelligence."

"It's okay, I have the authorization from my lord," Mozi said unconcerned.

"Go on, what plan of mine did you break? Speak well, and I might spare your life."

"In fact, I have not completely broken your plan; I can't see through you," Mozi stated gravely.

"That response is disappointing. If that's the case, you've lost the necessity to exist."

"Your plan is deeply concealed; I can only break part of it. Except for me, no one in this world has gazed at you for such a long time.

"Finally, I've understood: Your plan is for humanity to migrate. You plan to flee, abandoning all who believe in you, escaping with your own forces," Mozi articulated precisely, his tone even.

"Is that so? I plan to flee, how did you figure that out?" Lin Sen showed no sign of anxiety; he knew much about Mozi while Mozi knew nothing about him, and the Sophons would not allow him to constantly monitor both Lin Sen and Logic.

"Your ostensible plans include: space elevators, Mind Tactility, controlled nuclear fusion, Moon Base, Giant Reflective Mirror, anti-macro-atom, Space Particle Accelerator Ship," Mozi continued.

"Hold on, Moon Base and anti-macro-atom are Rey Diaz and Tyler's projects, not mine."

"No, they are yours. Both these Wallfacers have sided with you, and together with Logic, you now have three Wallfacers.

"In fact, I even suspect you're about to make a move on Mr. Hines. I don't know how you'll deal with Mr. Hines, but my intuition tells me you're going to act soon, and then you'll have the resources of four Wallfacers," Mozi said.

"Pitting the Wallfacers against all of humanity? Not a bad scheme, commendable!

"But still not enough. What about my deeper plan?" Lin Sen said nonchalantly.

"You packaged all your plans as building a multitude of space particle accelerator ships, even combining it with Logic's ring and Sophon assassination attempts, just to cover up your real purpose.

"In fact, there are two purposes behind building the space particle accelerator ships. The first is to use the accelerators to create more antimatter, the significance of antimatter in interstellar travel needs no further explanation, and you could even disguise it as a weapon against the Trisolarans.

"The second, after the accelerator ships are built, they will need a large number of high-energy particle experts, all of whom are the elite of humanity; you plan to leave with them. Once at the new home, these experts will quickly be able to use the accelerators to break through in fundamental theoretical science.

"The space elevator and controlled nuclear fusion are the first steps in your escape plan, the Moon Base providing you with a vast amount of resources for energy consumption during the journey.

"The Giant Reflective Mirror also provides you with another method; on the surface, it is to supply energy to the Moon Base, but in reality, it can be modified into a solar sail.

"It is large enough that according to calculations it could propel a small spaceship to 1% of the speed of light to leave the Solar System, then through multiple gravity slingshot effects to further accelerate the ship to 2% as it leaves the Solar System.

"At the same time, you are cooperating with other Wallfacers.

"Tyler is researching counter macro-atoms, scouring space for antimatter, and searching for that uncertain existence of counter macro-atoms; your purposes are to study the space and universal environment.

"The Moon Base also hides another of your objectives, to research ecological cycle systems, artificial starch, artificial protein... and other technologies needed for escape.

"The goal is to help humanity survive those long years during the escape.

"You Wallfacers are a bunch of thorough deceivers; you have deceived all of humanity, making them work madly for you.

"Then you'll abandon them, despise them, curse them as fools,

"Your ultimate goal is to flee with you and your forces."

Lin Sen clapped his hands, looking at Mozi with a somewhat mocking gaze: "Brilliant, brilliant...

"The way you put it, it seems as if all the Wallfacer's plans serve the purpose of escape, but is that all?

"Do you also want me to ask if this plan poses a threat to the Trisolarans?

"So, let me ask you, have you lived a fulfilled life yourself?"

Mozi was about to speak but fell silent as he indeed had intended to say that, and the feeling of being preempted was not very pleasant.

"I have completed my mission, and since I'm here, this is also the last choice of our destiny.

"My mission is to break you, Wallfacers; I have lived a rich life," Mozi replied.

"Oh... it's over, why don't you say, the Trisolarans don't care anymore?" Lin Sen teased.

"Say it, what are you here for, don't play dumb riddles with me.

"What you've said is full of holes, it's hardly convincing even to middle school students, according to your theory the Space Force wouldn't need to be built either.

"You, with Sophon surveillance, have not brought out solid evidence, which isn't like you.

"You're someone who pursues details to the core; if you were truly breaking the Wall, you would have presented every detail of the process.

"Despite my previous victory over the Trisolarans, I know that if you were to break me, it would definitely be a checkmate. Most of the world would believe you succeeded, you would surely make your chain of evidence impregnable.

"No need to ask how I know you so well; this is just you, I understand you better than you do."

Mozi was obviously flustered. He couldn't comprehend how Lin Sen knew him so well on their very first meeting, when Lin Sen shouldn't even be aware of his existence. It was almost like Lin Sen knew him better than he knew himself – could this really be a person?

Only at this moment did Mozi truly realize how terrifying Lin Sen was, and it was their first meeting!
