The content of this volume was relatively scarce, mainly involving the battle of wits between Lin Sen, ETO, and No. 7. Perhaps from the perspective of each of them, their choices at the time were well-considered; none of them were wrong, but there could only be one ultimate winner.

The protagonist's victory involved quite a bit of luck, but as the main character, luck was probably the last thing he'd lack. The readers probably don't have any issue with that.

In this volume, Lin Sen might not have been all that virtuous, ETO was not entirely evil, and the Trisolarans were portrayed with more depth. In the author's heart, no one is nobler; all are equally despicable.
