C66: Royal Parasite

Ken had underestimated the psychological effects of his childhood trauma. When he had experienced the incident himself all those years ago, he was already a resilient little brat whose primary skill was surviving in the gutters of a hellscape.

His children had experienced nothing but pampering since their first breath outside their mother's womb. The sudden shock they went through upon discovering those dark scenes in their mind had an incomparable impact on their psyche.

 

As a result, all four of them refused to eat dinner, despite their parents' most devoted attempts. Simm wasn't pleased to hear about Ken's choice of memory to impart to the kids. But her sorrowful concern for Ken overtook her urge to chew him out for screwing up so horribly.

 

"You never told me you grew up in Crimson Catacomb City, master?! How did you even survive there?" She asked, watching the solemn faces of the sleeping kids.
