Chapter 142

The next day and the 6th day of the Nine School Competition.

The crowd ball for the newcomer is scheduled for today but Oreki won't be watching again as Tsubaki is the one playing for the Second High. In fact, Yoruichi was the one who would have been playing in this event but she backed out because she was just being a lazy cat and didn't want to bully them too much.

Back to Tsubaki, the reason for Oreki's not to watch Tsubaki is simple really, he's not that close to them and he's not planning on adding Sona's peerage to his harem. He also does not want to take a girl from his homie, Kiba. He does not know when they become a lot closer just based on earlier while they are having breakfast together. 

Both Kiba and Tsubaki are talking animatedly or sometimes they borderline flirting with each other from time to time. The other peerage member of Sona seems to not even be bothered by it, so he asks how long they have been like this and their answer is just after Kiba's speed shooting competition they have been hanging out and flirting with each other unknowingly. Why unknowingly? Because they asked them if they were flirting and their answer was a no. They don't know if the answer is genuine or not but they take it at face value and they don't know what the hell really happened. They don't want to ask Tsubaki because they are too afraid to interrupt them or cuck them of the romantic moment going on between them.

However, Oreki will ask Kiba later on after Sona and her peers persuade Tsubaki to hang out with them instead of Kiba. Though Oreki is not much of a gossiper his curiosity is not going to stop him from becoming one but he will be disappointed if they just decide to get together without any spark or zing.

Right now though, Oreki is trying to explore the venue of the 9SC while also seeking some kind of chance encounter. For additional info too, he is doing it on his own without anyone following him. Akeno earlier wanted to come with him but he denied her coming with him which made Akeno upset because she wanted to go on a date just as Oreki and Rias did last night. That's right Akeno got the wind of the dinner that happened last.

Because of that Akeno had been demanding Oreki to bring her on a date just like what he did to Rias. She had been doing various ways to convince him like sucking him off under the table during breakfast stealthily but she failed in the stealth part so he had to make her invisible. If the only one who noticed her is their group, he's not going to do anything but unlucky for her, the other people from other tables noticed her going down under the table.

Mayumi is walking towards the tent of the First High with her sisters, Izumi and Kasumi while talking about random things but the twins really want to ask their older sister about what happened to her the night after she lost speed shooting. Even the Student Council members except for Miyuki wanted to know what really happened during Mayumi's trip alone in the hot spring because that is the only she did before she was not able to sleep properly that night resulting in 'health' problems which also resulted for her to dropped out of the Crowd Ball the next day. 

Kasumi who had a theory of what happened that night already told her twin, Izumi what's her theory making the latter blush and happy because their sister had finally fallen in love, and now she more curious about who is this lucky guy that stole their sister's heart.

However, Kasumi does not like it at all, especially because they don't know who that guy is or even met him. Does he deserve their sister? Is he going to take care of her no matter what is the situation? or does that guy even love their sister? They have to find out soon or else their sister's mind will be poisoned by that guy, whoever he is. This is why they really want their sister to name him to confirm what is that guy thinking in person because they too are getting anxious about this mysterious guy that their sister unknowingly fell in love with and lucky for her the guy that she wanted to meet is just right around.

Izumi and Kasumi who were walking each side of Mayumi and doing an inner monologue noticed that they not walking with Mayumi anymore. They look at each other first, having a confused face which is an honest reaction.

"Where's Onee-san?" Kasumi asked with a questioning look.

"I don't know?" Izumi replied with a question. They then look around their vicinity from left to right and when they don't see their sister yet, both of them turn around at the same time. They saw their sister looking to their left side while also blushing and getting flustered,

Seeing this face from their sister, The Twins turn to look to their left side. They then saw a man with black hair, wearing a Second High uniform which mean he's a Second High Student. The man is jogging lightly toward Mayumi while waving at her making the blushing girl even more flustered.

"Mayumin!!" The guy shouted getting the attention of the nearby students from different schools who looked at him with weird looks but soon stopped as they recognized him as the Leader of the Second High named Kamisato Oreki. Those same students then ignore him because his business is his business.

However the same can't be said for some curious First High Students. They are looking at Oreki and Mayumi simultaneously to see what is going to happen especially because Mayumi is blushing like the girl in love.

The Twins look at each other after they hear Oreki shout some kind of pet named or nicknamed Mayumi. They then decide to run towards their sister swiftly after silently talking to each other like how twins usually do.

After reaching Mayumi, The twins move in front of their dear sister to protect her from Oreki who after seeing them get in between him and Mayumi starts slowly down jogging before walking at normal speed. He maintained this speed until he reached the Twins and Mayumi.

Oreki looks back and forth between the Twins and Mayumi with a confused look. His eyes light up and moves closer to the twins "Are you girls the famous Saegusa Twins?" He said excitedly with a smile but it was more of a smirk.

"Whae?" The Twins were so taken aback by the sudden fanboying from Oreki that they froze up and didn't know what to do now. Even the blushing Mayumu recovered from her flustered expression as she stared at him with a weird look while also asking herself why is he being a fanboy to her sisters instead of teasing her for the thing she saw in the hot spring.

The Twins recovered quite quickly after a minute before answering honestly to Oreki.

"Ye...Yes, The Saegusa Twins but are we really that famous?" Izumi answered honestly by the calm and collected of the two. Not sure if they are really that famous yet compared to Mayumi.

"That's right! We are none other than the Saegusa Twins that you're talking about." Kasumi said confidently while rubbing her nose. As anyone knows she is quite happy that someone from another School already knows their brilliance even though they are still in Middle School.

"As expected, both of you girls are beautiful too but not as beautiful as sister, Mayumi." Oreki praised the Twins while not forgetting to praise Mayumi who was watching what was happening in front of her with a confused look, and blushed again while staring at the twinkling eyes of Oreki.

The Twins just blushed and stared at Oreki because don't know how to respond to the sudden compliment from the opposite sex other than their father. However, when Oreki praised Mayumi too, the Twins recovered pretty quickly and remembered what they should have done from the start. That is to interview him and to see if he is worthy of their sister's affection.

However Oreki did not give them an opportunity to do their psyche-op "Luckily, I didn't believe the rumors spread by that Shippou boy earlier because you girls are not like that rumor." He said with an innocent smile and his other eye closed while others were looking at their reaction.

"What rumors?" Kasumi asked angrily forgetting her main goal again. Izumi wanted to stop her twin and remind her of their objective but Oreki beat her to it.

"Nothing much... he just said that the Saegusa family are stuck-up bitches who stole credit from the other people that made them Ten Master Clan," Oreki said.

"Is that true or you're just trying to distract us?" The calm Izumi asked with a hint of anger in her tone because she too does not like anyone badmouthing her family behind their backs. Mayumi also frowns after hearing this because her family does not do that. Her father might be cunning but he's not the shameless.

"It's true, I promised" Oreki replied confidently while his arm was raised.

Kasumi moved in front of Oreki while looking up at him "Where is he now?" Kasumi asked angrily.

"He might be watching the First High Crowd Ball Representative named Suba .ru?" Oreki said but not sure who is it or does he?

"He's watching Satomi Subaru game!" Mayumi completed the name for Oreki and later nodded to her with a smile,

"Thank you for telling us this..." Kasumi said pausing as she did not know the name of the guy yet.

"Kamisato Oreki, just Oreki would suffice," He said.

"Thank you Oreki-san and please take care of our sister now and in the future," Kasumi said seriously while bowing making Mayumi blush and hearing all of what Kasumi said.

Oreki shamelessly hugged the shoulder of Mayumi before saying "Leave it to me" He smiled confidently.

However, Izumi separated the two "Hey don't be too close to Onee-sama yet" She said seriously but deep down she was quite happy that her Onee-sama found the guy.

Oreki could only smile and did not respond.

"Izumi let's go before that bastard Shippou get away with this!" Kasumi shouted while running towards the Crowd Ball venue. Izumi then swiftly followed behind her Twin.

Oreki and Mayumi watched them run for a while until they couldn't see them anymore.

Oreki turns his head to Mayumi, and he then whispers to her ear "So how are you? MA-YU-MI-CHAN"

Mayumi shivered in delight before backing away from Oreki "Don't come closer" She shouted attracting the attention of the students nearby.

"Eh?? I thought we were already close enough. because you already see my naked body...kyah!" Oreki said while he hugged himself and moved like a worm or snake.

"I... I didn't mean to see all of that!" Mayumi retorted back in a flustered manner. The students nearby started whispering with a blush on their faces. "I wish I didn't see it really" She added in a whisper that Oreki could only hear.

"Then do you want me to erase that memory?" Oreki asked in a whisper.

Mayumi fidgety moved her hands between her thighs before looking up at Oreki with a pouting face while also blushing "You already read my mind do you?"

"Well, at least I confirmed that you did like it!" Oreki said with a smirk.

Mayumi punches Oreki lightly and in a cute manner too, making him laugh and smile. The crowd then dispersed after seeing this lovely quarrel.

"You have to take responsibility for this!" Mayumi whispered while she rested her head on Oreki's chest. The latter then hug her lightly before replying "Of course I will." They stayed like this for a good five minutes the surrounding single students wanted to punch this couple for indecent behavior.

Both of them break away from their hug. "I know this late but wanna go on a date with me?" Oreki asked while he offered his hand to her

Mayumi gave a blooming smile before taking Oreki's hand and saying "Gladly"
