Tilda's date

The grand entry of the so-called Yahoo boys lifted the spirits of everyone at the party. Many eyes became quite observant, with the hopes of going home with some change.

The DJ himself had to go with the flow and started playing more of Shallipopi's songs with a bit of Erigga to spice it up.

Vivian danced in her mini red dress and the boys sprayed as much money on her as they could.

People started flooding the dance floor and the party soon turned rugged.

The best part soon came up when Omah lay arrived at the party to perform one of his hit songs, "Reason."

Girls were going crazy and boys were in no way better. Cameras flashed about as a handful of girls decided to take some videos and pictures for their social media accounts.

"You should dance as well. You're a great dancer," Miles urged me.

"It's fine. There's too many people here," I chuckled nervously.

"A true dancer knows no shame," He snapped his fingers at me.

"I'm too shy to," I was hesitant to.

"Alright then," He said but that wasn't the end of it.

I watched patiently as he left behind the counter to stand beside me.

"If you don't mind, may I have this dance?" He gave a gentlemanly bow as if we were at a ball.

I placed my hands over my mouth as an inevitable laughter took over me.

Funny how he remained in that gentlemanly position till I was done laughing and finally placed my hand in his.

"It's an honour, my prince," I said without even weighing my response.

He led me to the dance floor and with time, the shame in me left as we danced to Omah lay's song.

The moment was too surreal for me to be oblivious of what was happening. He was gentle and it didn't take long before he allowed me to take the lead. His pearly eyes assured me that I was doing everything just right.

I...I liked it.

"You see?" His voice managed to break through my daze. "A true dancer knows no shame."

"I see that now," I chuckled lightly.

He wasn't the best dancer but his moves were just good.

Now that the dancing had grown intense, the Yahoo boys retired to the drink service counter where the other bartenders available attended to them.

Everyone continued dancing and the DJ returned to playing a diverse of range of music.

When "Ruin" by Usher ft. Pheelz started playing, I was totally immense in this little world of dance moves with the blue-eyed boy.

Wake up in the mornin'

A different girl be on my line

Constantly be callin' every day, I still decline

See? This exactly what you did

You ruined me for everybody

You ruined me for everybody, ooh

Even though the lyrics meant something else, the voices and tunes gave me such warmth that perfectly matched Miles' vibes.

Bye-bye, good riddance for the last time

So you can try, try, maybe get it right next time

Different timeline, maybe then you can be mine

Ruined me for everybody

You ruined me for everybody, ooh

The fact that he was able to dance better to this song than the previous one, caused chuckles to escape me.

Bro wasn't playing when it came to those hot salsa moves.

"You dance great too," I smiled, swaying my body to the music spicing it up with back and forth movement.

"That's a plus," His lips dropped into an upsidedown smile.

I didn't want to say it out loud but this was the best experience I had ever shared with someone that wasn't KiKi.

*.*.*.

I had finished reading the books I bought the past week and I made sure to buy another set for this week.

Since I was a punctual student, I arrived at school long before the morning assembly would commence. I sat in my seat with legs crossed, fully engrossed in a novel.

It was my favourite of all the ones I bought for this week.

We were currently two students in the class since we were always the very first to reach school in our class. That was Aaron and me.

All of a sudden, I heard loud footsteps as though whoever was coming in was in a hurry. Somehow, that was the only thing that managed to break my attention from the novel in my hands since I started reading it.

Nonetheless, it turned out to be Kiki running into the class while struggling with her usual heavy school bag.

However, I was surprised at her arrival.

"Babe how far, you quick come today o," The look of surprise evident on my face. "Wetin sup?"

"I did and it's because of you," She appeared worried for some reason.

"Me? What happened?" I inquired, a little scared that Tobi must have told her that he like me.

"Babe, have you checked your phone this morning?" She went on with her questions that continued to increase the tension in the air.

"No. Why?" I grew even more perplexed.

"Let me show you what I'm on about," She quickly dropped her bagat the end of the seat and sat next to me as she took out her phone.

She quickly unlocked it and immediately opened her whatsapp to show me a ton of statuses...

Wait...

Statuses about me....

...Me and Miles.

My whole world shattered before me as I read the captions on every of the posts.

"W-what? Why?" I wanted to cry not because that people were saying bad things about me but because Sharon would definitely be aware of the ongoing rumours and my mum was going to eat me alive once she told her.

What did these people even know about me to make such comments? What did they know, huh?
