Chapter-3: The New Beginning

After the fight with the dragon, A strange message showed up in front of Kazuki from the stat window.

Kazuki didn't understand what was happening and what the message was all about, but he was curious who created this stat window and why they made it.

After this Kazuki paid his respect to Noriko who died during the fight with the dragon and also saved Kazuki. which Kazuki was still upset about and couldn't move over her death.

Then Kazuki opened the message that appeared after the fight. "Which said that you have cleared the stage one of your ability activation."

He was confused by this because the state window clearly said that I didn't have any ability.

why does this mean do I have an ability or not, the stat window is not helping me at all. my brain can't handle this much stress, let's just go ahead and find some safe area.

finally, I can see some people, is this the safe zone. there are many people here, but it looks like causality rate is very high because of this incident, many people lost their lives and very few people survived the incident.

The incident was going on for at least for a week in which the casualty sign fitly got lowered. after the incident, a conference was held by the government and a funeral for everyone who died during the incident. after the funeral for mass casualty of people, the government continued and discus what was going on in the world.

Then after a lot of work and efforts the world changed completely. the international government introduced the world to the ascended system, which also introduced the world to Rise (the international ascended group), or you can also call it the TIAG.

after the incident most of the world changed completely. 

The incident made us aware of the world that was beyond the rifts and were later got ranked by the TIAG between ranks- S, A, B, C, D and E. 

also, the ascended were ranked the same way as the rifts.

< 2 Years After the Incident>

It's been long time since the incident and everyone is now safer than they were before, the number of ascended that were now known to the world has increased rapidly by the years.

there are many ways to become an ascended now then there were before the Rise association has found ways to make people become ascended artificially.

And there am I still the useless person I was before, I couldn't get ascended during the calamity incident 2 years ago. I still regret the choices I made that day and I think that are one of the reasons that I didn't take part in the artificial ascending process.

because of this incident I wasn't known to the world, and still was a nobody. another reason that I didn't took part in the ascending process was that I thought I was already ascended.

Because if I wasn't ascended, why am I able to use the stat window if I wasn't ascended it doesn't make any sense, cause after the research done by the government, they found that only ascended can use and see the stat window.

Which made me think that I was already ascended. and also, the message that I got 2 years ago which said I cleared stage one of the ability activation, which means that there are some types of stages that I have to clear to unlock my abilities.

What should I do to clear the second stage and what are the requirements to clear the second stage. why does there have to be such absurd condition which I don't even know.

I trained a lot during the last 2 years, which makes me a lot stronger than I was before. I didn't fight with any monsters after that incident, which means i should go into a rift. But the issue is that rise has made that you can't enter a rift without having a ascended license.

I need to find a way to enter the rift without being noticed by the authorities. which makes it harder for me to enter and leave a rift without being noticed by other ascended. so that mean I have to enter the rift with an excuse that is legal and don't make anyone notice me.

there is way I can do this which can be either i join the cleaning/carry unit which enters a rift with ascended to clear and collect all the materials from the rifts or i can just join as an E rank ascended.

Hmm, who likes to do the things either way let's see if there is any recruitment notice for a carry person. Looks like Iam in luck today there is a recruitment for a C rank rift which I can join I think this will be fine for a test of skills.

It looks like my application got accepted, now I should go to the place where the rift is the raid will be starting today at 2 pm today.

After 2 hours,

This should be the place where the rift is going to appear, and that should be the place where I will find my teammates for this operation.

Hey, you should be the guy that applied for the carry person job, right. Iam Lee Hyun you can call me Lee Iam the person who will be leading the raid today. 

Yes, I am the one that will be your carry person for today. So, what are we going to today. Iam Kim Kazuki you can call me Kim.

We will enter this rift today and clear it, you will be carrying all our supplies and resources from the rift. and you will be safe with us so don't worry.

( I don't but that doesn't make me feel safe, just a hunch.)

Ok so is everyone ready we will be going in this C rank rift. everyone is ready so lets get going and clear this rift.

I need to kill 100 monsters, is this thing serious how the hell would i kill 100 monster let alone I have to kill them alone are you freaking serious.

Then it's fine, how do you like your first experience inside a rift.

It feels kind of weird cause it is too quiet.

It is a high rank monster, which is the reason why there is not any low-level monster nearby.

How strong is that thing?

You can say that it will take 3 - C ranks to defeat that monster.

Is that thing that strong.

yup it doesn't look like it but it is, and we will now attack that thing, team 3-formation.

Now attack that beast, 'wow they are strong they are easily defeating that beast.'

Thats not important i have to find a way for why i come here. they are fighting that monster so let's go and find some monster to kill.
