The informant

"I should guess who they are?" Mr. Joe was momentarily stunned when he heard the question posed to him. He was in deep thought when the question was directed to him.

"Those responsible for the disappearance of the children?" Mr. Joe replied uncertainly after being pulled out of his thoughts.

"Correct." The woman said smiling.

"I'm Correct?" Mr. Joe was shocked. He was flabbergasted about the response the woman gave. How could those criminals in handcuffs be the same people responsible for the kidnapping of the children?

How many days did it take the police to capture the criminals and return after setting out for the run? Not two days or even a day but two hours? What a joke! Not even the main city's police force could exhibit this level of competence.

"It seems I was right about my instincts. That explains the high level of competence displayed by the police on the issue." Mr. Joe thought to himself.

When he initially heard the summary from the minister, he had warned him of a possible traitor within his camp but the minister rejected his notion.

However, by thinking carefully through the matter on board and the revelations made by the women, it is a no-brainer that someone is assisting the police behind the scenes.

Moreover, that said person could be said to be very knowledgeable about the plans within the minister's camp. Perhaps someone with a high position within the camp. If not for someone serving in the camp of the minister, who else could it be?

"Yes, you're correct." The women nodded.

"My daughters, thank you very much for this piece of information. Mr. Joe said with a smile.

"You're welcome, grandpa. Though this information might not have been what you were looking for, we hope you can get something out of it. The social woman replied.

"Yh, yh" The other woman chipped in. Remembering how they had boasted to him, they were too shy to look into the eyes of the Old man when they saw how quiet he had become. They had thought he was down in spirit as he realized what they had told him was of no use to him.

Oblivious to them, their revelations had assisted him greatly. He had now gotten some important clues to his mission. If nothing at all, he is now one hundred percent sure that someone or an external force is assisting the police behind the scene.

Subsequently, Mr. Joe parted ways with the women and headed to the house he had prepared beforehand. Immediately, he went inside the house, tore off his disguise, and changed back to his original appearance.

At around 7:30 in the night, he took out his telescope and sniper rifle and headed to the muddy road leading to the police station.

About twenty minutes later, the police building became visible to Mr. Joe. However, he didn't go further. He stopped at a nearby tree and climbed on top of it.

After getting to the top of the tree, he searched for a more comfortable posture, placed his gun beside him, and took out his telescope to observe the situation at the police station.

For the whole night, Mr. Joe stayed on top of the tree observing the situation within the station but he couldn't find anything substantial to his mission. Moreover, the target he was after was nowhere to be found.

The next day at night, Mr. Joe repeated the same routine as the previous but this time around, the target he was after exited out of the police building.

Mr. Joe placed the telescope down and took out his sniper rifle ready to get the job done.

However, upon second thought he changed his mind. He was curious as to the reason the Sergeant would move this late at night. Moreover, he was moving alone with none of his subordinates by his side.

"Wait! Could he perhaps be meeting with the informant? Mr. Joe thought expectantly. This further cemented his decision of choosing to wait before assassinating the sergeant.
