"Yes, they can." Sergeant Quaye replied. He wasn't particularly surprised at Yebou's reaction.

"It's a new initiative by the government." He continued.

The matter of family members being able to visit or perhaps even stay at the various police bungalows was something that had been newly introduced by the government.

The majority of the citizens living in the cities are not even aware of such things not to talk of a kid from a faraway village where television and mobile phones are seen as family heirlooms.

_It seems history is changing its course. What could be the reason?_ Yebou thought.

From his memories, the concept of family members being allowed to visit their relatives in the police bungalows was introduced later in his mid-forties but now it has been forwarded to when he is in his teens.

He couldn't think of anything that could be the reason for the change in history.

_Could it be my involvement?_ A sudden realization hit him as he cracked his brain looking for answers. That was the only plausible thing he could think of which could perhaps change history.

"So, Mr. Bullet, what do you say? Do you accept the offer? Sergeant Quaye pressured after giving Yebou some time to think.

"I see!" Yebou muttered after getting the answer he wanted from the thought plaguing him.

"Ah? Yeah. If that's it then I accept!" Yebou quickly recollected himself from his shocked state and replied.

"Hahaha! Good! Good! Welcome to the family then!" Sergeant Quaye excitedly got up from his seat and went forward to hug Yebou.

He couldn't hide his excitement anymore. Only God knows how hard he had tried to have such a talent come under his entourage.

However, at that moment, a system notification sounded in Yebou's head.

_Finally done!" Yebou heaved a sigh of relief after reading through the system notification.

"Huh?" However, the scene he saw next after coming back to reality nearly gave him a heart attack.

He was stunned to see the sergeant hugging him tightly. Though the sergeant thought nothing of it, he was embarrassed to see such a reaction from the sergeant.

_Is he really a Sergeant?_ Yebou thought. If not for the tag displayed on the right shoulder of his police uniform, Yebou would have suspected him to be an imposter. How could a Sergeant behave in such an embarrassing manner?

"So, when are we leaving?" Yebou asked after as he pulled himself away and recollected himself from the initial embarrassment.

"Yeah about that! The envoy from the headquarters will be arriving soon. We will be leaving with them on the next day after their arrival." Sergeant Quaye replied.

"The headquarters sent an envoy to escort you back to the city?" Yebou asked confusedly.

In his previous life, "Envoy escorters" were only sent when a prominent or influential person needed a state escort or protection, or in another case when the police were transporting a notorious criminal.

But in his current life, he is being told that there would be a police escort for a Sergeant leaving a village for a city rank exam promotion. Such an irony!

"Hahaha! Why would the headquarters send an envoy for a mere Sergeant?" Sergeant Quaye retorted.

"Have you forgotten about the assassin?"
