Playing hard to get

TL notes: Guys, let's say a big thank you to WardanJ for his immense support and contribution to this book. Whenever I feel exhausted after my school and part-time job, he becomes my motivation for frequent releases.

Oframasi, Police Station, Sergeant Quaye's Office

....

After arriving in Sergeant Quaye's office, there was once again a long period of silence between the two. Even though Becky had boasted greatly in the corridor, it was mainly because there were other officers around.

However, when left alone in the same office with only the two of them, she became shy and even wary after recalling Yebou's tales. What if he tried to take advantage of her?

It should be known that Yebou is a man after all even though he is a bit younger than her. Moreover, he is extremely strong so when he decides to do shrewd things to her there is no way she would be able to resist.

_What am I thinking?_ Becky shook her head after coming back to her senses. She had almost gotten carried away a moment.

Calming her racing heart down, she gathered her confidence but after seeing Yebou's nonchalant behavior, she got angry and disappointed. It was as if she was just an empty air to him.

He didn't care at all and that got her somehow disappointed and angry as she felt her pride as a woman was been questioned. Which woman wouldn't feel the same after being ignored in such a situation?

Yebou who was on the receiving end of Becky's anger and disappointment had no idea he was being mistaken for his silence.

He hadn't spoken a word so far because he felt there was nothing he could relate to with Becky as she is far behind him in age though he might be seen as the younger one by appearance.

Moreover, she was the one who said she had something to ask him about. Hence, his silence.

After a long period of awkwardness, Becky suppressed her anger and mustered her confidence as she broke the silence.

"Bullet, you may not be aware but I'm your number one fan," Becky started with a forced smile.

"Oh, that? Thank you!" Yebou replied plainly. He was entirely against Becky addressing him plainly. By appearance, he is the youngest.

Therefore, it was morally accepted for Becky to address him as such. However, that was impolite as this was their first interaction. They are not that close.

"From what I heard, you're really strong. I think you might be the strongest in the whole region." She continued.

"How can Miss Becky say such words? I'm too far from that." Yebou replied with a smile.

To say he is the strongest in the whole region? That was too far-fetching.

He might not even be the strongest in the district with his pathetic level and only one skill in his arsenal.

She is truly gullible to think that he is the strongest in the whole region. There are a lot of experts out there. Recalling the scene when he met Mr. Jigga, he shook his head.

_Let's see how long you can pretend._ Becky thought as she became infuriated by Yebou's simple answer. She felt Yebou was trying to play hard to get on her. That explains his unconcerned attitude.

"Why do you keep on calling me Miss Becky? Just call me sister Becky or just Becky. We are not that far apart in age. With a loving smile, Becky said.

" Oh okay, Miss Becky it is then," Yebou replied. He felt there was nothing wrong with that. However, he couldn't just call her Becky outright as that would seem impolite.

"Whatever!" She said as she shrugs off her shoulders. Without knowing, she had somehow become infatuated with Yebou. Her infatuation stemmed from the fact that she wanted to prove to him that no man could ever resist her charms.

With high spirit, she decided to use her 100 percent efficiency method that men find hard to resist, however, before she could even uncover its lid, the door to the office was opened. 'Kacha' in came Sergeant Quaye.
