Irresponsible subordinate

"Please pardon him for the rude remarks." Inspector Kodua pleaded after taking control of the situation. While others might use their position or rank as an advantage to suppress others below them, he didn't take pleasure in doing so. In fact, he detested such behaviors.

"Yeh! Oh, it's okay. I don't really mind." Sergeant Quaye smiled. He was greatly surprised at the calm disposition and polite manner in which the man who seemed to be the leader of the group was addressing him.

_Why would they team such a great person with a fouled-mouth fool?_ Sergeant Quaye wondered why the authorities would even recruit such a person and even go as far as to team him with a responsible person.

It was truly lamentable that an officer of such caliber was teamed up with such an irresponsible subordinate. They were surely bound to fail.

A superior, no matter the level of his/her competency is bound to get into bigger trouble if he/she fails to regulate the bad behavior of his subordinate.

"Please come inside." Sergeant Quaye ushered them into the room after snapping out of his confusion.

...

The city of Nkawkaw

Currently, an old man could be seen sitting in his study reading a newspaper with one hand while the other hand held a glass of wine.

Suddenly, the door to the study was pushed open as a middle-aged man came in hurried footsteps.

"Father! Do something ooo or else I'll take matters into my own hands. They are really getting on my nerves." The middle-aged man shouted angrily as soon as he entered the room.

"What is it? Haven't I told you to knock before you enter? The old man questioned angrily.

"I'm sorry, father. I got carried away just now." The middle-aged man pleaded after coming back to his senses.

Apparently, this middle-aged man is the only son of the old man.

"So, now tell me. What is it?" The old man asked his son after his son had calmed down.

"Father, it's DSP Kwame Barimah. He seems to be against everything that I do. Just recently, in a meeting, he openly criticized me. It didn't stop there as he has done it today too.

He's now doing it so openly. Now, I can't even attend meetings anymore since every time I go to a meeting I get the feeling that all eyes are on me, ridiculing me. Since he received the praise from the DSP, he's acting arrogantly. He even seems to be building his faction. Father, I suggest we act fast."

"DSP Kwame Barimah?" The old man said as he placed his glass down.

"Hahaha. Don't worry, there's no need to cry over spoilt milk. He'll soon crumble. Let's wait for a few days."

"Yes, father! I trust you." The son said enthusiastically after hearing those words from his father. Since his father had given him the exact days, then it means it could be considered done.

After sending his son away, the old man picked up his phone and dialed a number.

A few seconds later,

"Hello, Honourable Nketiah. How are things on your side?
