Current Situation of the Corporation

The secretary was indeed as swift as the song described, appearing and disappearing quickly as she handed a stack of documents to Thea. Following her mother's orders, Thea took the bulky documents back to her room.

These were the foundations upon which she would build her future. She had to examine them carefully. Taking out her notebook, she recorded the career backgrounds of several key figures and made simple personality analyses based on their working methods. Who knew which department she would be assigned to tomorrow? Being prepared was always the right approach.

What? Why only record a few executives? Could she be assigned to a department like security? How was that possible? She was the sole heir. How could her own mother assign her daughter to work as a security guard? This was supposed to be a transmigration story, not a city dweller's return as a martial arts master!

As she earnestly analyzed the current situation of Queen Industries, she discovered that the company employed over thirty thousand people worldwide, with branches in every corner of the globe. Its main businesses included steel smelting and non-ferrous metal mining, with the company holding 7% of the US steel market and 4.1% globally, making it a major player in the steel industry.

Additionally, the corporation diversified its operations, investing heavily in weapons development and biopharmaceuticals, achieving some success. However, at present, there were no visible signs of research results translating into economic growth, and the substantial annual investments were a significant burden on the company.

Flipping through various reports, she could see that the company had been pouring money into the real estate industry throughout the past year, causing the previously ample cash flow to shrink. This was not the sign of a healthy business operation. Comparing it to a map of Starling City, Thea immediately realized that the properties purchased by the company were all located in slum areas. Recalling the plot, it seemed like this was Robert's instruction to his mother? To prevent Malcolm from using earthquake devices to destroy the slum areas, he had been secretly acquiring properties there. Thea couldn't understand the mentality behind this.

Robert had known Malcolm for many years, but he hadn't realized that Malcolm had no moral boundaries in his actions. Malcolm's hope that as long as the land was in his hands, they wouldn't interfere with each other was unrealistic. Malcolm didn't just attack the land; he had people killed directly. Malcolm wasn't mentioned in the notebook Robert left for Oliver. Robert never realized that his longtime friend would turn against him. If he had warned him in advance, Oliver would have taken care of Malcolm from the start of the first season with a single arrow, and the show would have ended in one episode instead of twenty-three.

Looking at the densely packed land purchase certificates, Thea had a headache. Six years later, Malcolm had attempted to emulate Ra's al Ghul and attacked Starling City with an earthquake device, destroying much of the slum areas. All these properties which now belonged to them.

Starling City was a place of many disasters and troubles. In the first year of the plot, Malcolm unleashed an earthquake, killing over five hundred people, including his own son Tommy, despite the Green Arrow's desperate efforts to stop him. The second year, the Deathstroke brought hundreds of Mirakuru-enhanced soldiers to the streets, causing widespread chaos and destruction. In the third year, Ra's al Ghul plans to unleash the Alpha and Omega bioweapon, a deadly virus, on Starling City as part of his plan to cleanse the world of corruption and start anew. In the fourth year, Damien Darhk, a villain with mystical abilities, plans to use nuclear weapons to destroy the world. In such a place, hoping to lift oneself out of poverty and achieve modest prosperity by buying these plots of land from her family would require a miracle.

Holding the pen and looking at these forms, Thea felt more and more desperate. The land purchase behavior hadn't stopped since Robert's death. In the short two weeks since she arrived, her family had purchased three more pieces of land.

It seemed like her mother was faithfully executing her deceased husband's wishes, but this was a one-way road. It meant that Queen Industries would continue pouring money into this sinkhole for the next few years.

No wonder Atom, Ray Palmer, easily acquired Queen Industries in the third season. With such reckless and self-destructive actions, even enduring for eight years was a feat. Queen Industries might be financially robust, but it was squandering its own money! To ensure the future Green Arrow didn't have to mooch off his girlfriend meal after meal, and to prevent herself from taking a promising job as a security guard, she had to reverse this policy.

But it's easier said than done. Being in a position where her words carry little weight, she can't just say that in the future, her dear old dad's excessive drinking will cause the land to move with him; nobody would believe it. All she can hope for is to climb to a high position and be able to change the company's decisions. As for stopping dad's behavior, Thea also considered it. Maybe she could prevent the crisis in the first year based on their relationship, but what about the second year? The third year? There are too many uncontrollable factors. She's not invincible yet. The story won't start for another five years. She'll take it step by step.

The next day, Thea got up early and put on a light makeup, relying primarily on her original soul with a touch of her transmigrated soul—These skills were still intact. Looking at the clothes in front of her, she was a bit hesitant. Since it was her first day at work, she had to dress formally. She chose a short beige suit with a dark blue straight skirt. The skirt was neither too long nor too short, just covering her knees, giving her a mature and capable look.

She picked a pair of black high-heeled shoes that were less than five centimeters high. After trying to walk a few steps, she found it quite stable. The discomfort she felt initially had diminished considerably. Thea's original self was becoming increasingly dominant. She looked at herself in the mirror and decided on this outfit.

When she arrived downstairs, Moira had been waiting for a while. She knew her daughter quite well. Thea's original personality could be described as rebellious. In less flattering terms, she was stubborn. The more you tried to stop her from doing something, the more she would do it. Moira thought Thea would resist her arrangement. She was considering how to persuade her, but when she saw her daughter coming down in formal attire with a calm expression, without carrying any scissors or gasoline bottles, she knew Thea was obedient to her arrangement. This made Moira very happy.

The two got into the car, and Thea kept asking about the current situation of the company. After all, some things couldn't be found on paper. This made Moira even happier. What did this show? Asking questions meant Thea had carefully studied the materials. If it were Oliver, he wouldn't even know which way the company's gate opened.

To make up for her coldness towards her mother during the acting days, Thea also deliberately showed more affection. When they arrived at the company's gate, Moira was so happy that she couldn't stop smiling. Her two children had not brought her much joy in the past twenty years. One only caused trouble, and the other was cold to her. Now, it seemed like the clouds were finally parting. Even though her son had died, having a daughter who had matured was also a consolation to her.

In a great mood, Moira looked forward to the challenge between the two families. No, it was more like a challenge of abilities. She pulled Thea into the company's building.
