Hatred and resentment

''You...why is it you?" Monique demanded through gritted teeth as the sun sank below the horizon.

She stood in the rundown warehouse, disheveled and glaring at the woman before her.

Sarah met Monique's fiery gaze with a mocking chuckle.

"Why can't it be me?" Sarah taunted. "Where's the surprise, Monique? After everything you did to me, you had to know I'd be involved somehow."

''You are one of that woman's people. Did Lydia send you ? Did she do this?''

Sarah kept mum. Glaring at her with hatred.

"Where is my daughter?" Monique's voice shook with barely restrained fury. "What the hell have you done with Sahara?"

Rather than answering, Sarah simply pressed a button. The walls of the warehouse flickered to life, projecting a distressing video footage.

Monique's breath caught in her throat as she saw Sahara - her precious little girl - locked away in some sort of storage container.

Her comatose body oblivious to the danger around her. She but unharmed...for now.
