Luna's POV
Ever since our little talk at the club, Dominick had been avoiding me, and it was frustrating. I'd done everything to get him to talk to me, but he just kept pushing me away, redirecting me to Alen. After dressing up for the day, I went downstairs for breakfast and was surprised to see Dominick already seated at the dining table.
However, my surprise was short-lived. As soon as I walked in, he stood up and left the table, leaving me dumbfounded.
"What is his problem?" I muttered, feeling frustrated.
"Don't take him too seriously, Mrs. Phoenix," Maria said, placing a bowl of salad on the table.
I sighed and took a seat. "Why does he keep to himself so much? Why is he avoiding me?"
"You have to cut the boss some slack. He's been like this since he was a kid, since his mom died. He decided to live this way without getting too attached to people."
