Confusion.

Dominick's POV

"Uncle Albert, how is this possible? I thought you were dead." I was lost for words, looking at my uncle who I thought had been dead for over a year.

"I know you're confused and even disappointed, but I swear it wasn't my intention to lie to you," Uncle Albert sighed, leaning forward on the chair. "I had to do this in order to survive."

"What do you mean by that? Who's trying to harm you?" I demanded.

"Patience, my boy," he said, standing up from his chair. His eyes moved from me to Luna, who was standing beside me. "Would you like some tea?"

I hesitated, skepticism written all over my face. I didn't trust him fully, not to mention drinking tea here felt risky.

"Yes, please," Luna answered before I could say anything.

He nodded, smiling at me knowingly. He understood my hesitation, but could you blame me? After everything that had happened, trust was hard to come by.
