Chapter 3

WORLD 1

Hecate woke up on a king-sized bed, still fuming about what had happened. Just when she was about to start cussing, the system immediately spoke up,[ The host is currently in a high school novel, and as the host is just a level 1 task taker, you are only allowed to fail a mission five times before your soul is destroyed, so please be careful. ]

[ A beginner's gift package has also been issued for the host. Will the host now like to receive the plot? ]

Hecate stood beside the bed as she scanned her location. She noticed a dresser with a mirror, and she immediately moved to the mirror. She picked up a skincare container from the top of the dresser and threw it at the mirror, causing it to shatter into pieces. The system was alarmed by this action, but before it could speak, Hecate had picked up one of the bigger shards and used it to slit her throat from her left carotid artery to the right one. Hecate immediately fell to the floor, bleeding out as blood no longer flowed to her brain, just before she passed out. The door to the room opened, and the person immediately shrieked at the scene. With this, Hecate failed her first task.

WORLD 2

Hecate woke up in a different place this time, which was a classroom on the fourth floor of a school building, which was 15 metres above ground level. She immediately stood from her seat, causing the system and the whole class to react. [Host, please do not do anything drast....]

The system could not finish its words as Hecate had already run up to an open window and jumped out of it head first. Thus the second task comes to a failure.

WORLD 3

This time around, Hecate woke up on a cruise ship.

[Host, would you please not do anything drastic this time? Committing suicide will not change the result. ] The system was completely ignored, and it could not help but feel that it was being treated unfairly as the decision was made by the administrator, making it unable to disobey. The system watched as his host ordered a bottle of wine through room service. Seeing this, the system thought that the host had finally calmed down. The wine arrived after two minutes. After the waiter delivered the wine, the host locked the door to the cabin and immediately broke the wine bottle. The system could only let out a resigned sigh as it watched the host slit her throat again, bringing the third mission to failure.

SYSTEM SPACE

Hecate was now back in the system space, which was the circular room she first appeared in after death. Her three consecutive failures at the very beginning of her transmigrations led to the administrator's notice. After observing the situation the administrator decided to give her a different assignment where even death could not give her salvation. The system could only silently pray for its host as it received the task to be performed.

[Host, your new world has been decided on I will be sending you the plot, and be mindful that this was selected by the administrator.]

Hecate who had been sitting crossed-legged blinked her eyes open in response. The plot was immediately sent to her brain. Upon receiving it Hecate's entire aura changed. It felt like she would strangle any form of life that comes within her vicinity , the system itself did not feel safe being around her at current juncture. The content of the task received was absurd beyond even her wildest dreams.

"That fucking piece of shit, hahahahahaha, well played, well played just you wait till I fucking make you eat your shit even the force that created the big bang won't be able to save you," Hecate cursed hysterically at the administrator as she read over the plot again.

The plot takes place in a fantasy-modern world where the original cultivation society slowly changed into a world just like modern civilization. This could be seen happening throughout the history of the world as multiple people appear at different times bringing about massive change with this people either being transmigrators or reincarnations. this naturally led to the decline of cultivation which was not so suprising as only a selected few could cultivate after all not everyone could defy the so called heavens. Even among those who could cultivate only a small percentage could move onto the higher levels.

This led to the people being easily influenced by industrialization. Well considering the fact that cultivators where generally living in seclusion and are hardly seen it was easy for this otherworlders to change the flow of the world. With industrialization taking place and the living standards of the mortal people improved cultivators began to loose ground as firearms were brought into existence and education became widespread. With the act of cultivation being for the few minority with the talent from its very conception people easily chose to accept industrialization especially those that had low talent and could not ascend further.

With the support of people a millennia passed by with the whole world slowly advancing down the path of science and technology and mystical arts where slowly forgotten. The plot takes place 3 thousand years later following a high school boy in his second year named Chu Xuan stumbling upon an ancient cultivation manuscript during the yard sale of his neighbour. With the book in hand he slowly stepped into the hidden world of cultivators experiencing various adventures and faceslapping situation.

Hecate in the plot is a classmate of Chu Xuan who later found out that she had a special physique which effectively rendered her unkillable. This was of course with side effect that she was constantly being plagued by ghost. After this discovery Chu Xuan tried to take her as his cauldron but the girl of course did not agree with her reporting him to the police for being a stalker and a rapist. But like every urban cultivation the protagonist could not be imprisoned and this led to her being captured and tortured.

Hecate could only curse her luck as she looked over the plot of the story reading the end where the task giver could only steal a divine spear with the concept of destruction imbued in it from her torturers and stabbing herself through the heart with it. This of course did not kill her instead it left her in an eternal battle against the spear as her physique could surpass even destruction. This left her with the spear permanently lodged in her heart leading her to be in a state of constant pain with no one able to free her.

Hecate could not help but hold even more malice towards the administrator as this was the so-called punishment and task given to her. The system was even more stunned as its host will not be able to escape this world unless she completes the task assigned to her and neither will she be able to die or leave the world even if she is stabbed by the spear and eternally tortured. The system could only shake its head at how unlucky it was to be assigned to such a host before sending her to the task world.
