"Your reasons why I'm being held captive here?" She inquired, her eyes holding nothing but fear in them. This wasn't the man she knew, this one is totally different - A Mafia 

"You left me at my worst, you ruined me. Now, it's my turn to do so, Mia amata" he said slowly, a cruel expression on his face.

"I'm sorry…" a low whisper tore out of her lips but he let out a laughter, one which didn't seemed to reach his eyes.

"It's too late… Too late, Mi amata" his voice rang back in her ears a million times and a tear slipped down her cheek.

Adriana Regio never expected herself to fall into the hands of one of the most feared Mafia bosses in Italy - Don Riccardo Moretti. 

Mafia's were the top leading in wealth and everything. They were feared by all and peasants never wished to cross parts with them. That was Adrianna's case too.

But, her case was entirely different in another way. She wasn't sold, bought or anything, but she was held captive to pay for a crime she committed years ago. 

A crime that haunted her every night, and even though she was held captive by the man she once loved, she couldn't bring herself to tell him a secret she harbored greatly in her heart.

"He's our Daddy?" ~ Emeliano questioned.

"Not exactly what I expected, he's not my spec" ~ Emelio retorted.

Adriana remained motionless in Antonio's arms as he carried her to a place she's not aware of. Tears pooled her eyes as she thought of what he was going to do with her.

No, Antonio couldn't possibly do that. He's Riccardo's brother, he wouldn't dare hurt her - she tried to reassure herself but it wasn't working. Watching how a lady had just taken her voice without doing a thing, shows that killing her within a blink of an eye wasn't hard to do.

"What do you intend to do with her?" She heard the wench who had injected her earlier asked.

"Kill her after I've taken the whole Moretti down. She's of no use anyways," Antonio replied which shocked Adriana to the bone.

Kill her? What the hell had come over you, Tonio? - she opened her mouth to yell but no sound came out. That terrified her. Had she lost her voice completely? Is this the end for her?
