Darzax's Foe, Prodigy?

"Skyward Slash, eh? Let's see…" Aleron muttered before he opened the scroll.

Aleron also saw the picture and other details in the scroll how about to execute the skill.

"Hmm, so I have to learn it myself. It won't work like Grimbolt Spear," Aleron muttered.

"Do you want to learn it now, my lord?" Darzax asked.

Aleron tapped his cheek with a thoughtful expression for a second before grinning, "Yeah."

"I want to see if I can learn it myself," Aleron said as he focused back on the scroll, "I want to know where I stand right now in my personal talent."

Darzax's eyes shone as he smiled. 'That's admirable, my lord.'

"I shall help you with a sparring partner," Darzax smiled before a shadowy black gate with ghastly blue wisp and patterns appeared to their left.

From the dark whirlpool in the gate, a shadow shot out before stopping 1 meter away to their left, kneeling on one knee with their head down.

"He is the most skillful blade warrior under me, with the most knowledge in this field," Darzax smiled. "Get up already."

"Riki the Whispering Blade."

Riki was a pale-skinned bald man with red marks over his head, body, and limbs, wearing only black trousers while his upper body was carved with scars that shone red.

He looked like he was in his thirties.

Aleron looked at him and was dumbfounded as he looked at Riki's status.

[Riki—the Whispering Blade]

_Class: Blade Lord.

_Lifeform rank: Legendary.

_Speciality: Whispering Serenade Blade Arts.

_Power Level: 748,504

"His combat power will become on par with me once he breakthroughs to Exceed rank," Darzax said with a wry smile. "I might even be at a disadvantage in a pure one versus one battle."

"I doubt that Darzax," Riki stood up and said with a loud laugh. "You would seal my combat power with your crazy spells before I break them and touch you."

Riki grinned and added, "But it's a different story if I manage to ambush you."

"Awesome," Aleron grinned. "So he is your strongest subordinate?"

"No doubt in that," Darzax smiled. "According to my memories related to him, he was my toughest foe who defeated me and almost killed me."

Riki rolled his eyes, "But this guy returned stronger as a harbinger of death, killed me, and made me his undead servant."

"I would've loved to read your story, haha," Aleron laughed hearing the duo's exchange. "Anyway, I want to learn this skill on my own, let's just do sparring as I try to execute it."

"Understood," Riki nodded before a snow-white katana materialized in his hand with a redwood hilt and silver metallic ring.

Darzax nodded and turned to Aleron, "My lord, I shall go and bring some monsters for you to hunt once you finish your training."

Aleron smilingly nodded, "Thanks."

After Darzax left, Aleron started practicing solo to get the hang of the skill execution.

Thankfully, although the skill scroll didn't give information on how to design and execute the skill, Aleron still got knowledge of Wind Syllabus Level 1 thanks to the system.

'So it's giving me the profound knowledge of skills and spells I get, however, It is up to me to master that knowledge, utilize it, and learn skills by wielding it.'

Although imagining a phenomenon produced its Arcane Syllabus in one's Magic Board when one created or learned skills, much of this knowledge was already physically noted, experimented, theorized, and refined.

As such, people often learned and practiced various syllabuses of elements, arcane syllabuses, cause and effect, intent-driven, action-driven, and such subjects in various academies in Kingdoms.

But some knowledge was still forbidden, secret, or undiscovered.

Some people could learn knowledge of some subjects faster while learning slowly in some other subjects. It was related to one's affinity, mindset, and talent.

At the moment, Aleron was learning this C-rank skill. His first time learning something himself that excited him greatly.

"Let's see if I can do it," Aleron eagerly stood in a proper stance while wielding the Light-Rend Sword, which was the name of the Epic-rank Light-attributed sword.

He had finished learning the skill design as the Light-Rend Sword's blade was covered in a fast circulating wind flow.

*Boom!*

Suddenly, a blast occurred in the sword's blade, dispersing the circulating wind coating.

"This is tough for a beginner, my lord," Riki chuckled. "The sword's blade is pure Light-attribute, so it's clashing with the wind energy."

"Yeah…I have to make it such that it doesn't clash," Aleron muttered as his eyes glinted. In his Magic Board, Aleron redesigned the skill a bit.

Since he knew the thirteen Arcane Syllabus of the Tier-1 Spell, Grimbolt Spear, he decided to use that knowledge to adjust this skill a bit.

After a minute, Aleron finished designing the skill and established its skill rune.

"Let's see…" Aleron muttered as he focused and used the skill again, causing the Light-Rend Sword's blade to be coated with the wind circulation again, but this time…

*Ziiii*

Riki's eyebrows jumped up, "This…"

The energy of Light and Wind actually combined, creating a mystical coating of high-speed circulating cyan wind energy that was condensed and sparkling with golden sparks that sped up the wind circulation even more!

'Did he use some advanced Arcane Syllabus to achieve this?' Riki was amazed.

"Damn, this is so cool!" Aleron exclaimed as he looked at the sword's blade dangerously humming and oozing out a sharp, piercing aura.

"This is impressive indeed," Riki nodded with his eyes sparkling. 'How did he learn this knowledge and is capable of utilizing it despite being this weak? Darzax's lord is a strange being.'

Of course, it was impressive. The knowledge of the Arcane Syllabus that Eldritch Tome of Arcane Aberrations gave to Aleron was considered secret knowledge!

"Alright, time to use it properly now," Aleron grinned as he used the last bit of his mana to execute the skill's maneuver his body was enchanted with magic, his feet receiving more enchant-type.

Riki smiled and nodded, "Let's start."

'He appears to be a prodigy in Magic, that much is as clear as the pure excitement in his eyes. Now, let's see how he fares in combat.'
