When the first Prince of Vampires asks for her hand in marriage, Bel is repulsed by this and vehemently refuses.
She always imagined her husband would be like her sister’s. A handsome man who shares similar interests with her. He doesn’t need to be royalty. All that matters is that they were in love.
Davien got the handsome part down but unfortunately, nothing else. To top it all, he is a vampire. 
However, she won’t have minded his terrible traits if she loves him but she doesn’t, and neither does he love her.
When her father says she has no option but to marry him, Bel vows to do everything in her power to make Davien hate her.
If she can’t stop him from marrying her, she can at least make him end the marriage. She will be the worst bride ever.
But what happens when Davien can handle her antics and shows nothing but love to her regardless of what she does?

<p>Mallory tightened her arms around the neck of the male human. She heard one of them call him Commander. Was he in charge here? She thought it was odd that a human was in charge of vampires, but all that didn't matter as long as he wouldn't try to bite her. She would stick with him, and since he was their commander, he could protect her from the rest of the vampires.</p>

<p>After the bandits had caught her, she woke up tied in a carriage with another girl who was sobbing. It didn't take too long to reach the settlement, where they were quickly placed underground. Mallory didn't know how far she was from the mansion, but something told her it wasn't far enough, especially when she overheard one of the bandits mention something about selling them to the vampires as soon as the sun set.</p>
