Chapter 13 Outskirts of Acroniya part 3

"That person rushed back to the people and saw that they were still digging at a normal pace. He told everyone about what had happened.

Everyone started digging, trying to push further, but the majority of them could only push for a minute and a few seconds at most. After a few minutes, their speed decreased significantly as the air became more and more scarce, and holding their breath became increasingly difficult.

After a few more minutes, no one was able to dig any further. As long as they reached inside the tunnel where they had to dig, their breath was almost gone, and when they tried to dig, they ran out of breath. As a result, despite how much they wanted to, they could not dig further.

When everyone was thinking about what to do, the sad man had a determined look in his eyes. He had just completed his turn, but he still started moving towards the tunnel. He pushed aside the person whose turn was next and jumped into the tunnel. Before anyone could stop him, he had already entered the tunnel and crawled directly to the area left for digging. Without thinking much, he started digging with his bare hands. When even after a few minutes he didn't come out, everyone's worry started skyrocketing. At this time, others tried to bring him back, but he didn't respond.

They thought to pull him back but stopped. "We cannot pull him," the person who introduced this idea said, continuing, "Only if I understand his looks then." He remembered when the tunnel started growing larger and bigger, he said to everyone, "The tunnel is long now, and we do not have enough cloth to pull you out like before. So remember, don't push too much. Come out when you are unable to handle it or when we signal you." He looked towards everyone to see if they had understood or not, and everyone nodded their heads. However, the sad person didn't pay much attention to his words then.

When after a few more minutes the sad man's body became less lively, he ordered them to quickly pull him out and try their best not to hurt him. But they could not do much in such a situation, as the rocks and small stones in the soil started cutting his skin, and he started bleeding. When he was pulled completely out, his breath was very uneven, but fortunately, he was alive and had not died, despite the shortness of breath. After putting him down, they saw that more than three-quarters of the work was about to be completed.

"We must not waste more time. Let's dig more than we actually can," one of them, leading them, said, and everyone agreed without waiting much. "Okay, fine then. Let me go first," a man said, but this sentence was cut short by the screams of people followed by the sound of people coming towards them.

Before they could react, a shadow covered the entire area. When one of them looked towards the source, he panicked and screamed like the others. The tunnel where the shadow was only present was illuminated by the sun, revealing their location.

The crazy crowd shouted, "Run! They are charging! Attack!" "We are done." "Someone save us." "Wait, that girl is in danger. Help her." "Help yourself first." "She is responsible for the same, so let her face the consequences." "But..." The people in fear started blaming the girl and started shouting at each other."

"When the sad man heard the message that the girl was in danger, his muscles started contracting, and his closed eyes began to flicker. His body ached with pain, but he tried to move, only to be pushed aside by the frightened people. In fear and panic, he roared. His roar froze everyone in their place for a moment, and that was enough for him.

He rushed between the people towards the surface, then froze, fear gripping him. The scene overwhelmed him; his entire body was frozen in place, soon covered in sweat. He saw the beast's fangs open wide as it began charging its attack. He searched for the source of the voice and found a woman. Her head was down, and her crying voice could be easily heard from a distance. Her arm reached out to hold something. He followed her hand and saw a little girl, frozen in fear. She was completely still, covered in sweat, and unable to make a sound.

As time passed, the girl's mother cried louder. When the beast had fully charged its attack, it smiled, followed by a burst of powerful energy. Its attack rushed towards them with incredible speed, instantly turning everything in its path to dust. As the attack neared, her mother shouted one last time in fear, "R…!" Her shout was cut off by the sound of someone running along the wall.

When all hope seemed lost, A man stood in front of them, saying, "I owe you a favor. Don't worry, none of us will die here today." He sensed the girl looking at him but didn't turn towards her. His eyes remained fixed on the beast's attack. While standing there, he shouted, "DON'T LOOK BACK. JUST RUN!"

The girl didn't understand his command and remained still. Her mother, whose leg was injured, tried to convince her to move, but she remained frozen.

The beast roared, capturing everyone's attention, including the girl's mother. She began crawling towards her child to protect her.

The beast launched its attack. The intensity of the attack was devastating, turning everything into dust. The man simply touched his waist, where he had placed a rusty knife-like object, and smiled. His eyes filled with determination as he faced the approaching danger.

As time passed, the attack drew closer and closer, but he remained still. When it was mere three meters away, he extended his arms to absorb the impact.

When the attack made contact with his arms, it exploded within seconds. The pressure surged through him, the energy beam easily shattering his arms and beginning to break his chest. His skin was exposed, and within seconds, his skin disappeared, revealing his muscles. The beam did not stop there and continued to push forward."
